Default please talk me down from the edge...

I'm only 7 days in to this program and am rocking it!! I had a really bad diet pop habit before I started IP so my coach is okay with me having a couple diet Hansen's a week for a little carbonation. Well, just a few minutes ago I opened and drank a huge swig and realized it was regular with cane sugar! I'm so very upset. I'm convinced that this will take me out of ketosis and ruin my next few days. Please, talk me down.

Okay, deep breath. Someone else did the exact same thing with a Hansen's soda a few months ago. You only had a swig. Looking at their nutrition facts, their carbs range from 35-43 in 12 oz. Figure that one big mouthful is .5 to 1 ounce (that's a BIG mouthfull!). At most, you likely only got 3-4 carbs. Some people are more carb sensitive and it could kick them out of ketosis. Some people are less - at this point, you probably don't know where you fall on the spectrum. Make sure that your last packet of the day isn't a restricted higher carb one, drink your water and chuck all the rest of the regular soda in the trash! You'll be just fine.

I wouldn't worry myself sick about it if I were you. Even if you get knocked out of ketosis with that one swig, going right back on protocol will set everything straight again. It's not like you went on a binge and consumed a 6 pack of the stuff.

Don't stress. I was the one that this happened to and totally freaked out on the boards. I think it only set me back a day and u learned a good lesson to always pay attention towhat I'm buying because you never know when nutrition facts change. I haven't had w diet soda since though!
