Default Splitting protein servings - two questions

Hey guys,

I'm super new and have a few questions that I forgot to ask my coach.

1) Can we split our protein servings up? Have half for lunch, half for dinner, etc.?

2) Can we mix proteins? Can I have 2.5 oz of chicken and 2.5 oz of steak in the same meal? Or tuna salad made with a smaller portion of tuna and one chopped egg...

THANKS!

I'm fairly new, too, and am anxious to see what everyone says. I didn't think of splitting the protein, but since I so enjoy an egg in tuna or chicken salad, that's a wonderful idea...if it works.

I mix the meats pretty regularly by doing steak and shrimp in a stir-fry. Just watch your total quantity and you should be fine.

There's no problem with splitting or mixing your protiens-just keep to the correct amount over the course of the day. I personally like to use the crepes as a wrap for tuna salad or chicken fajitas. I just split the total and have 1/2 for lunch and 1/2 for supper.

Interesting use for the crepes. I never even thought of that!

Thanks. I did half my chicken at lunch yesterday and half at dinner. Helped keep me from having the urge to snack in the afternoon.

What a wonderful idea. It's hard to just eat veggies and salad only for one meal.

One thing I like to do is roll a slice of turkey (or two) up with mustard and eat one with my lunch veggies. It's filling and provides me with enough to keep going through the afternoon. Then I still have 4 oz of protein that i can have for later. This diet has made me remember how much I love yellow mustard!

I am so glad I popped into here. How I would love to have 2 oz. of fish for lunch and the remainder at dinner. Today I greated my zuccinnii(let drain), 1 tea.of my crepe powder, greated onion and garlic. Made patties and fried. VG. I just had to get away from the salad for a day. This tip will help me so much.Thankssss.
