Smile IP Daily Chat - Thursday 8/26/2010

Introduce your self and join the IP gang right here! Ask questions! Everyone will do their best to answer you.

Wow ... the daily chat was already closed!

Will do the fancy-schmancy first post stuff later because I'm running late.

Have a terrific Thursday everyone.

EDIT:
Ok... not running that late apparently because I had a moment to check out another forum. I wanted to see how the south beachers forum is set up and came across this post:

It's perfectly acceptable to just pop in and say hi. We like to hear from you no matter how your day is going. Nobody should refrain from posting just because there are lots of other posts.

Just sayin'.

Also a reminder about my new favo(u)rite search trick for this forum:
site:3fatchicks.com "ideal protein"

Copy the line above into a Google search box, add what you're looking for and you'll come up with a really good list.

I hope today's a better day. I was starving all day yesterday, even though I ate exactly what I've been eating for weeks. I was a little depressed since I actually had GAINED since Saturday (I know, I know, I shouldn't weigh every day).

It was the first day I actually noticed other food and thought about cheating. But today is a brand new day.

The critical thing is to not deviate from the protocol, AKA cheating. The IP product is convenient and may offer the quickest results, but the general protocol can be followed with alternative products, or with regular food. Folks need to do what they can afford and their bodies best tolerate. The key is to lose the weight by burning fat, then transitioning properly to maintenance.

Similarly, the supplements are also formulated to work best with the program, but some comparison shopping can save money. I started with IP, but compared labels and switched all but the potassium to other sources. Just make sure the products you buy are high quality.

Good Morning Everyone!! Hope everyone woke up to sunshine today, makes for a easier start. I am starting week 8 today and was hungry this past week. I haven't cheated at all and don't really understand why. I made sure to get in all of my food, drink lots, get my salt and oil. Upsetting I too have been thinking wow that really looks good when I see the food I used to love. I know that I won't eat it as I have had many chances and love how I feel. I go in to weigh today and am hoping for the best. I have ugly baggy kinda skin under my chin and on my tummy. I have lost 25 pounds so far and am 5'3" have any of you had the skin get better after a while? I thought I remembered many years ago on WW that a gal said it gets better. It feels so good to look so much better but my chubby face looked young and this not so much. Plus I also have the OMG look at you, you are so thin. You are not going to lose more are you? Well I am, I hope, I need to lose another 20 to get to my right BMI and weight. I leave for Minnesota tomorrow and need to get my head on straight so I don't eat something I shouldn't. I have been so positive through this wonderful experience and I am going to continue too have it. Thanks for listening I feel better already, you guys are great!! I hope you all have a great day and weekend. Good Job and Good Luck to you all.

Thanks for posting this. I wonder what the sugar alcohol is. If it's xylitol, you could probably subtract those carbs from the total.

XANTHIA, regarding bras. Something I did with my old bras before I reached goal to tide me over was use my sewing machine to seam up both sides, taking in 4 inches. The cups still fit fine. They weren't too pretty, but no one could tell outside the clothes.

Good morning, everyone! I must admit, it's been a heck of a morning for me already - didn't sleep very well last night with this blasted cold, but did have a NSV this morning. I tried on a pair of pants that have been hanging in my closet untouched for like, two years, and are a size 16, and they buttoned and zipped and I'm wearing them today!! They're a little snug, but that's ok, they're on!!

Hope everyone is having a great Thursday!

Thanks Bev,

My cups are too big. I think I'm going to go pick up 1-2 and then wait until after goal. I just feel like even when I buy new clothes they fit poorly because of my poorly fitting undergarments. I'm so into bras fitting (girls it REALLY makes a difference, pay attention) that it is making clothes shopping really sad.

I am on my third week. The first 4 days was horrific for me since I am hypoglycemic but thank the Lord I hung in there. My goal is to be 130. I am 139 now and started out at 148. The first of the year I was 155.5 and joined WW and lost 15 but thereafter gained 8 of it back. This diet I feel different on. I feel as though I am truly loosing fat. My body is changing all over, it's amazing. I sure feel alot better and more energized. Reading all of these posts really encourages me.

The sugar alchohols in Pure Protein bars are typically maltitol and sorbitol. I verified that is the case with the Strawberry Shortcake bar.

Hello Everyone! Wow! I have not been on for awhile. Lots of new people Welcome I have posted in several forums and just want to thank everyone for helping me get through a really really hard time. I was planning on taking a break and moving on to phase one for a month or two and then coming back but I decided to keep on going. My coach let me add an extra packet in a day. It has made a huge difference. I feel like I did when I first started. I break a restricted item in half and take part of it in the morning and part of it in the afternoon. I feel amazing! Thank you all for the encouragement So close to wonderland

Also-> I take it I am posting this in the correct place as I did not see a weekly chat.

Great job on all the losses!!!!!!!!
