I agree that it depends on the person. I have had periods when vacationing, extra hunger, etc. when I've had a restricted bar almost every day, and my loss was not slowed down those weeks. I think if I did it every day, all the time, it would probably be an issue. But, do a little experimenting and see what's right for you. Do you record your food?
