Feeling this way??

  • Okay so I was told that after Day 3 that your body would begin to start feeling better. That your hunger would mostly go away, that you'd start to gain energy back, etc. Well I am on Day 5 and it is actually getting worse for me. I have followed the program EXACTLY; not even missing the salt or oil that is recommended. But I feel like crap. Im extremely hungery, to the point where it is hurting my stomach. By body feels like its 800 pounds but then when I try and stand up everything is jello and I get lightheaded almost instantly. Im pretty sure that this isnt expected results for Day 5. Does anybody have any suggestions??

You should probably add an additional IP pack, maybe two. They say the first week you can have 4, maybe 5. It takes a while for your body to adjust to such a low calorie intake. At the very least, you should contact your coach! Good luck and hang in there. The group that is "in the know" on these forums are very knowledgeable and I'm sure they will give you some additional advice. Hopefully they will post soon to your comment!!
  • I'm just about the opposite of you...I'm on day 6 now, I don't think I've hit ketosis yet, and I'm not hungry at all. I have followed the rules to a T also, and had my first WI this morning, 5 lbs lost but my BMI and hip size have increased... weird, but I'll take the half inch loss in my thighs and waist and keep pushing forward.

Definitely contact your coach - maybe it's a vitamin you're lacking?
  • how many packs you getting? as EatBeef mentioned, maybe try 4 packs a day? I was given 4 packs a day for my first week, which I only did the first day. Other than a couple moments where I was STARVING, I did good - I wasn't too tired. My coach told me that's surprising since most ppl's first week, they couldn't get out of bed at times

beckywelch, i increased in my waist size too! But my coach does my measurements with clothes on so maybe it was the jeans I was wearing. And my bust increased too...and I forgot I wore a bra with a little padding
  • I was feeling that way on day 3 and 4 but am better now on day 6. I was told to drink sea salt and water and take an extra Cal-Potassium. It helped me a lot to do those two things.

Did you have bloodwork done before starting the diet? You many need to eat another packet or two per day until your body adjusts. Some peoples bodies are just more sensitive to sugar withdrawl - everyones chemical makeup is a little different.

    How are you doing today?
  • I felt very tired at day 3, but then I got a horrible ear/sinus/chest infection that kept me out of work a week. Kept doing IP religiously, even while just laying on the couch with tissues and the TV remote, and lost 14.7 pounds in the first week! By the time I was better, people were noticing my weight loss!
