Hey All,

I am on my 2nd day of IP

I am wondering if it is normal for me to have woken up crying hysterically at 3am this morning because my head hurt so bad, nothing would help. I know that I got in all of my salt, water and all of my veggies, packets etc. I ended up eating 5 raisinettes, that seemed to be the only thing that made the headache go away...

Also I have been feeling sick to my stomach all day. I know that nausea is to be expected for some...

I guess I am looking for some reassurance...

Thank you!

It is normal to feel like this first 3 days. Trust me it gets better. Your body is going through a shock! and detoxing!!!

Hope this helps...drink lots of water...in your first 2 days you can have two extra IP food. the Chocolate ready shake is really good.

Thank you! I really just needed someone to tell me (personally) that everything was going to get better. Tonight I made a special treat with the banana pudding, It really made a big difference!:D

UGH!!! (yes this is a long post)

Met with the local ideal protein lady three weeks ago because I am miserable at my current weight and want to lose it badly. First week my nephew was born early and spent time in the ICU and had finals at school and put my Grandmother on hospice. Second week my Grandmother died and was having a rough time dealing with family everything. Currently on week three and for one reason or another have had a really hard time commiting and have messed up for one reason for another. Weighing in on Monday and am needing some advice on how to re-commit myself and get over this fear of failure. Thanks in advance!

I'm on day 7. I had a couple of days of splitting headaches that would start after dinner and last until morning. They'd go away in the morning after I had my coffee and shake. I still wake up with a headache every day, which goes away. I'm trying to figure out what I might be missing - now I try to eat my snack near bedtime, have water before I go to bed, and tonight I am going to sleep with some salt water on my bedside table and drink it when i first feel the headache.

If you figure out something at really helps, let me know! Aside from that, rest assured that they will subside.

Take 1/2 tsp salt in 4 oz warm water. Your body is releasing toxins, which results in a splitting headache. This really does help. I know it doesn't take great, but just drink it up and wait 10 mins.

I'd have to say no. If it is not on the phase 1 protocol sheet, you cannot have it unless it is 0 carbs, 0 calories, 0 fat. Sorry. I know some people may not agree with me, but you cannot "work" this protocol. You have to follow it as written.:(

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to post to update that I woke up today (day 3 on IP) and I felt awesome all day. I started writing down my cravings as I get them, and when I get home I look at the recipes thread to find something similar. I can't wait to try big mac in a bowl!

Big mistake. I really believe it has made the transition from eating whatever I want to this regiment harder. Not that it would've been easy, but I certainly did myself no favors.

So, totally enjoy the foods that you will miss, but don't be like me and go waaay overboard. Best wishes on your upcoming journey and I look forward to making progress alongside you!

Thanks for the reply Candie! I have been doing just that, actually... I am a big soda drinker so I thought I would take this week and a half to wean off soda too. Instead of soda throughout the day, after I finish a soda I drink an equal amount of water so I have already cut my soda in half. I'm also eating more veggies in general to kind of prepare. I haven't been craving any junk food so I'm excited - I feel ready to do this! Can't wait to join you all and share our successes! :D

I had trouble with the original IP plan. I had to go to an alternate method. Its so hard getting my veggies in because I HATE HATE veggies!! I can tolerate raw veggies though. What veggie dip is the best and you can use on the IP diet?

Hi Lilstormtracker, my coach suggested mixing the WF Ranch dressing and the WF Mayo for a nice creamy dip....I love it...hope you do too.
