:dizzy: Thanks! |
Just realized I responded to a post a few weeks old lol...I love the support on here, even though I don't post often....have been on IP since Oct 6 and have lost 60 pounds.....think there is something going on with my thyroid, have been very cold, losing hair and my biggest lost was 7 pounds the week I had a fever of 99 and 100, but stayed with the plan. I consistently lose less than 2 pounds a week and last week it was actually hinted that I was cheating...that is sooo motivating. I have had no cheats through all holidays, and my body just fights very hard to release the weight. I am happy with my loss so far, have 4 bags of clothes to give away, but am thinking of going lindora on my own to save. 6 1/2 months of $81 is a lot to keep up with especially with poor coaching.

Hello All! I have been reading through the posts and have been thinking alot on the whole "cheating" issue. I just wanted to throw a thought out here. I wonder if we are worrying so much about cheating that it is making us more prone to do so. I really think it is a bit off to even call it cheating myself. I think we are all adults and have the capacity to make choices, be it poor choices or good choices. At times we make the best choices we can in a given situation and then looking back, we freak because we "cheated". I am deciding if I eat something that is not set in stone protocol, well that was my choice to deviate, not cheat. I think if we eat something not on protocol and consider it cheating we feel we are not being successful, that we are essentially doing something bad and that we put so much energy into being disapointed in ourselves it is harder to get back on track. Well, I had a few chips today when I ate the salad part of my taco salad and you know what, that was a poor choice, but the old me would have cleared out a basket. I realize that it is not protocol but I am making better, healthier choices and if I can eat a chip or three...congratulations to me for not clearing out that basket. I accept I will loose slower than some, but I am in this for the long haul. I am not on this until I drop 80 lbs., this is my new way of life and if I have to consider myself a cheater for making a choice that is better than a choice I might have made two months ago, I think my new way of life is not gonig to last me long. I hope my spelling and grammar is correct!!

where in MT are you from. I am seeing a common theme between this thread and the other thread about clinics saying you have to loose a certain amount each week or they assume you are cheating. I think that is bull. I am now on phase 4 but while I was active on 1,2,&3 I did not always have weeks where I lost 3-5lbs. It is supposed to be an average. My coach went back and looked at my chart and I averaged about 12lbs a month. but there was some weeks I only lost 2lbs and others I lost 6 or 7. keep on keeping strong. I am going to be going back on IP after my vacations are over Vegas and Hawaii here I come!. I will be doing it on my own and maybe getting a box of IP here and there. i bought some bulk protein and am going to try that. (does not taste nearly as good as IP) but I will mix and match. It seems rediculous to pay that much money and have to worry about someone thinking you are not being honest with them. |

My name is Lisa and I'm a cheater......nah, no 12 steps for me. I too strayed this weekend; wine and chips. I think it helps us stay sane :dizzy: I agree that it sucks to be acused wrongly. And I agree you could have thyroid issues. DO get your labs done! Hopefully they have a clinic or something where you can go for cheap. In wyoming we have the "blue envelope health fair" where you can get a CBC, etc for 25.00. As for being cold...we oldtimers all talked about that awhile back so the cold thing may or may not be thyroid. Hope you get it sorted out!! As for the clinics "not for you" issue I do wonder what kind of pressure the corporation puts on the distributers/coaches. My place recently put up their own website and they mentioned that "if your not ready to do it this diet isn't for you" blah, blah, blah. I suppose they don't want to look bad....if the diet isnt working then less people will buy it, etc. :p |

I apologize if this is a repeat discussion. I remember reading somewhere what the omega 3 is doing for our skin and all, but don't remember. My mom has really bad skin on her face right now and she eats a lot of salads, kind of like us, and I told her to get some, but I wanted to be able to explain to her why she should other than telling her, "I don't remember why, but I read it on 3FC"!! LOL!! Thanks!!!

"I have never had a coach and feel I get everything I could hope for in a coach right here on this forum."
Thanks, I guess that is what I was wanting to hear, motiv8edmama....I too love this diet and was hoping someone else was using the board for coaching. It is scary to let it go (the coaching), just for the accountability factor. |
