Thanks Birman! That's good to know because it means what I thought was correct - beans have a lot of carbs! MuayThaiGoddess told me that beans count as 1 carb and 1/2 a protein. I'm going to figure out how to use them in my dinner. Realized that now that I'm on phase 4/maintenance, if I follow the IP sheet I don't get enough carbs. LOL! I'm going to do my own nutritional analysis to see what and how much of things I should be eating. The Phase 4 sheet seems like too much protein - yesterday I ate 118 grams of protein! And no IP packets, powders, and also no seafood either. My first day back to being fully vegetarian and I had way too much protein. Hahahaha! Chuckle. I'll go over to your other thread too and maybe I'll see what the Suzanne Summers diet has to offer. Other than that, I'm checking into raw foods because they are so good for the body. Eventually I will figure out what to eat. But for now, I'd like to say that I feel really healthy! The IP diet was a huge success because now I don't even want sugar at all. There were Panera bagels in the kitchen at work this morning and I really couldn't be bothered with them. I used to love the cinnamon bagel they make. Very weird, but in a good way! :D My body is my temple and I want to eat the right things to keep it running at its peak!

I would love to keep track of everyone's losses and post them on my blog. I love challenges, they're fun and so supportive! I weigh in on Monday mornings so I'll post everyone's results weekly when I post mine! It might help if anyone in the challenge can PM me on their weigh in day as we all have different days to weigh in and it will be hard to keep track of it! |

just read your blog - great! Love the recipe for pita wedges - got to try that! Since I have a box of orange pancake mix I wonder if I could make a "sweet" cracker? I have three boxes of higher carb IP in the back of the pantry not to touch till phase 2. Will your link always be on your posts or should I bookmark it to check on the stats of the challengers?!? Thanks for doing that too :cp: |

150 is my goal too but after weighing Friday I will set 20 lbs as goal to get me into another phase. Then the other 10 slower. Happy Easter!! :egg: |
Hey toomanycats - the link to my blog is always on the signature line so you should be okay to find it, I usually comment somewhere on the boards at least once a day!
You can post on Friday's and I'll try to keep track of everyone's days!! If I miss anyone I might PM you to find out how you did that week :) Regarding the sweet pita wedges - I was thinking of trying a cinnamon sugar type one so I'm sure an orange flavored one would be great too :) Might be good with a bit of ground cloves if you like that sort of flavor :) |

I suggest that those of us in the challenge indicate it somewhere in their signature. (see my signature below) And then just post your progress in your regular postings. |
Confession: Oh, I had a hard and stressful shift in the ER last evening. And I gave in to a tiny piece of cheesecake (after eating an IP lunch) that someone brought. Then I had some chocolate Easter candy (after an IP dinner) that tasted AWFUL (waxy and chemically.) Lesson learned on that one.
The rest of my shift was IP friendly. I ate a lot of salad and had raw veggies with each meal. So I don't think the damage is gonna be too bad. My official weigh-ins are Wednesdays so I have a few days to straighten myself out. Happy Easter to those of you that celebrate it! :easter3: |

I've been reading people mentioning EAS shakes but I was wondering if anyone has substituted using MuscleMilk Lite. Also, I used to eat Pure Protein Bars for breakfast all the time and they have relatively same nutritional info and ingredients as the IP Bars. Has anyone used either of these products as an alternative?
I'm running out of IP Bars and they are the only restricted food I eat for breakfast everyday, and I don't want to pay a fortune to get more and the EAS bars seem to have a little too much carbs and calories. Any suggestions? |
