hello everyone just started the diet and have lost 18 lbs in 5 weeks just wondering what other food can we eat other then the free veggies someone told me we can have some air popped popcorn can we if not any other suggestions thanks

I wish that were true, but according to my doctor that would be all carbs and would throw us out of ketosis. So no popcorn for me (which is my all time favorite snack) I even had to make 3 batches at a concession stand yesterday with butter and salt and it smelled so yummy, but I stayed away:p

Nicely under 200 lbs. :)

Lost 22.lbs in 30 days. :)
(Without using IP products, by the way.)

JINX you owe me a coke! :) That is what my scale said this morning! What a great feeling!

Carla, I put in an on-line order today. Got the 5 free for 5. My total was $33.90. Had I purchased 10 items from my coach it would have been $35.00 plus 6% tax. Not much of a savings, but my coach doesn't have everything....but almost. There were a couple things I decided to try. Glad to hear things are getting better day by day.

Also I tried the Leek soup with part chicken broth. Added a nice flavor, but remember, I liked it anyway.

Day 3 for me and going really well. I don't feel hungry and my headache is minimal but I think that is because I haven't had a Diet Pepsi in 3 day either. I had to take a whole Taco Meal to a family in the hospital last night and set it up for them and turn down the many, many requests for me to eat with them. I made sure I had my meat and veggies before I went. I just kept saying in my head "Nothing tastes as good as Skinny feels." I was proud of myself.

I am not going to step on the scale until I go in for my weigh in on Wednesday. Hope it all pays off :)

Carla, do you like vinegar and oil? I make my own dressing every day. I use 2 tsp olive oil, about that much vinegar, a little bit of water. I add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, basil and oregano. Mystical Mama also taught me a trick to add about a teaspoon of the IP jello powder. It helps the dressing thicken up if you make it ahead of time and takes some of the bite out of the vinegar. It is quite good.

Yinyang - thanks for the encouragement for not touching the cookies i made.
I too had been walking 2 miles-- more randomly once I had gone up the last 20 lbs. Decided I should start walking again now since I have lost 20. It was very slow -- both knees begging me to stop. Have you had any problem walking? I am trying again tomorrow. I thought it would feel great with the weight loss but I didn't notice that much of a difference, unfortunately.

I don't think I could make cookies and not at least taste one. You did great! :cp: The walking will get easier. I have been trying to up my amount of exercise now too. I feel so much better taking the 2 potassium supplements so I actually feel like exercising instead of sleeping.

Have you tried putting the Grapeseed Oil on your salad with the Sea Salt? It's now my favorite. Grapeseed oil is alot milder to me than Olive Oil. Mix romaine w/spinach add cucumbers, celery and maybe even a few slices of dill pickles...

By the way, I LOVE your quote...

Yes they are quite SEXY!

You should have the email now thankyou...you are quite the techy. I am technologically challenged. You can decide where if anywhere the info goes...I honestly haven't compared it lately to what's already on the "Phases" forum. I just like the rule summary on Phase 3 on how much carbs/calories plus the sample menus.

There's hope - my business partner is on Phase III and still is losing a couple rather than gaining like they said could happen..It's probably a guy thing....just as he's had it alot easier from the beginning on the IP program...
it must be that whole male/female metabolism thingy...

BlueMermaid- I am better now but the first week, I could have slept all week. I asked my Dr. about 2 potassiums but she felt it was too much. I have more energy now but I'd really like to try 2, especially since it is working so well for you. Anyone else taking 2 potassiums??

I am taking 2 potassium as well as is a friend of mine on IP. I fought leg cramps periodically...plus when I have been really tired it seems I had a little Edema - it usually will solve itself if I just get rest.

WyoSun 03-13-2010 08:06 PM

I haven't really been tired on this, but my coach said if I was to just lay down if I could. LOL, like that is going to happen!!!
But, what if you took 2 potassium every other day. Or you could get one of those pill splitter thingys and take 1 1/2 each day.

My real doctor said that taking 2 of the potassiums every day would be fine as long as my kidneys were functioning correctly. 2 of them only equal 44% of your recommended daily value and I don't think we are getting lots of potassium from our food. It looks like the premade drinks and chili have some potassium but the pudding, eggs, soup, vanilla peanut bars, yogurt and jello don't have any. I do not know what the vegetables we are eating have for potassium. I know I feel much better taking 2 of them though. :)

Birman, what are your diet plans now that you have surpassed your IP goal?
