Stay strong Sandrab, you've come so far...stay strong.

Ogdog13 02-09-2010 08:50 AM

Okay, how could all you dogs lovers out there not appreciate/love the doritos commercial with the dog and the bark collar. That was halarious.

torchlaker, you also stay strong. You can get through all this stuff. One thing at a time. Make a list and start crossing it off!! LOL, no procrastinating!

Definitely let us know what your coach says about Lindora. Btw, sugar alcohols can through ketosis off too, and IP bars have those. Definitely read the ingredients before you buy from other sites! The foods I've ordered have no sugar and are almost identical to IP.

That was my favorite one!! For the most part the commericals were not so good.

Mom22 02-09-2010 12:21 PM

how about the doritos commercial where the guy steals the chips from another guy's locker. his friend tells him - oh no - ? really loves his doritos. then a dorritos chip hits him in the neck just like those metal ninja thingees. then he looks and the guy is wearing a full body armour made out of dorritos. too funny!

sandrab - you are having so many challenges - good on you for still trying to do the diet, look after family and everything else.

gotta weigh in today - not sure...

Maybe it isn't totally phase 2, haven't really examined that....all I am doing is substituting my own real protein for an IP protein once a day about 4 times a week. Even though it isn't carbs, yes I am hungrier than taking a packet.

Sounds like Phase 1.5. Or 1.7. But i get the hungrier thing. For me, it has gone away in a couple days.

Yessirree,Bob!! After going back on phase 1 for a week (mostly) I've started moving again!!!:carrot:

Hi guys:
Getting on late tonight....and I have to teach a painting class tomorrow so I painted until midnight to make sure I knew how to explain the techniques.

Big day...really. Got my new car -- in a snowstorm. Cried when I left my car...but stopped crying really quick, when I realized I didn't know how to put my window back up -- figured that out...and drove 26 miles before I finally figured out how to turn the back windshield wiper on. Went right from the dealer to the therapist...and right from the therapist to the weighin. So I was on the road a lot....car seems good....used to a 6cylinder...so it doesn't quite have the pep mine did. I was gonna read all the hightech stuff tonight, but I had to paint too late.

OK - I only took in the Lindora oatmeal and pudding to the doctor. She looked at them. She said the Lindora oatmeal is REAL oatmeal, so if I am gonna eat real oatmeal, just go buy it from the store.

She said the puddings weren't bad....they were sweetened with aspartane, but they weren't bad. She also gave me a list of foods that I could eat instead of eating IP or Lindora.....but I gotta find that list first. I remember no-fat cottage cheese, a can of tuna, 1 T. peanut butter -- each one of those would be in place of one IP packet.

BUT -- since I lost 3# (yay!!) - I think I will continue on Phase I (altho someday I do throw in a real omelet, like they allow on Phase II). I am now only 6# from goal. (well, their goal...I guess mine, too....now). I am not going to weigh in for 2 weeks now...and did buy IP's oatmeal and some various things.

I basically think - what I should have done - and some of you did - is compare "apples to apples." I have never looked at the labels from either. I did ask her about the 20-25 g. of carbs a day....and she said most people on IP were at about 30-40g....VERY strict (bootcamp??) is 20-25. She was more interested that I get protein in...(she gave me the total grams for that, but I haven't even begun to look at my sheet -- it is mixed up with all my car stuff).

But - my theory is this -- I think I will use both Lindora AND IP AND her food suggestions (when I need it). After all, I did lost 3# (with only 1 BM all week). Wow...just think if I had gone!!

I will change my ticker at another time. I am pretty braindead right now.

checkin' in

Hi all, and thanks for all the kind words and suggestions/responses. I was feeling better today, then about an hour ago I started feeling queesy again. Should have gone to sleep but wanted to catch up with you all since I havn't been on for awhile. I go to the gastro on Thur. Maybe he will have some answers. I will let you all know of course. I have noticed that I feel worst after eating something with sugar in it. So I'm sure the Doc's response will be: so don't eat sugar! If I could just convince myself to do that!!

Ogdog13 02-10-2010 08:01 AM

Toomanycats, Know that we are here thinking about you! Hoping you feel better and that the gastro doc will have the answers for you.

way to go SylvieG!! that's so incredible!! you really need to change your signature to reflect your total weight loss - it really sinks in when you say you went from a size 22 to size 9 - you've lost almost 70 lbs - not 15 like your signature says. do you even recognize yourself??

Torchlaker - great weight loss!! you are moving in the right direction. New vehicle - I'm so jealous - Remember you are forging a path towards independance - scary - but you are getting stronger all the time.
