  • Hi Tammi, Congrats!

You said that you had to change every single aspect of your life. What were some of the things (other than food and exercise) that you had to change to be successful in becoming healthy?
  • Nice !
  • Congrats! You are right. You do have to get things straight in your head first. Thanks for the advice.
  • Congratulations on your weight-loss! You're very inspiring to me since me and you share around the same starting weight! I've lost 10 lbs so far went from 279 to 269 and I want to weight around 140. Do you have any before and after pics?
  • Quote: I had been overweight basically my whole life. At 34 I finally have conquered what was the biggest challenge I've ever faced. I am convinced that weight-loss must be perceived as a mere side-effect of a healthy lifestyle before change can be significant and permanent. Now I'm dedicated with all my heart to making sure everyone knows that. Stop thinking that weight loss is a temporary issue that you just need to figure out and then everything will be okay!! You have to change every single aspect of your life. And you HAVE to start right between your ears. You have to get your head right first. You CAN do it! You really can!!!

Don't give up you guys. It took me 25+ years and there were many times that I felt hopeless. I always tell everyone, I didn't become healthy because I lost weight, I lost weight because I became healthy.
    Congratulations!!
  • Wow!
Yours is the first post I read on this site. Could be just what I needed to get my self started. Congratulations and great job!
  • Congrats
  • Yep -- the biggest challenge in PERMANENT weight loss and living a healthy life is getting into the right frame of mind. Finally got my head screwed on straight and now I'm working on the body.
  • Congratulations!
  • Congrats! All your hard work has paid off!
