Charles,

I usually don't check out this part of the forum but for some reason today I did. I just read through your food diary testimonial and there are tears in my eyes right now. Tears of joy for you and your family that you made a choice to change. I imagine I can know the feelings your little girl may have had earlier on in your journey as my mom was obese and I was ashamed to have her come to my school. She passed away when I was 12 years old of congestive heart disease. I am making the change for myself as I have developed diabetes at the age of 46 along with high thyroid and cholesterol readings. I have made the change so that I can watch my kids have there own families and my granddaughter.

I am so very proud of you for making the choices you did and your ambition to help others.

There are so many inspirational stories that I have had the privilege to read here on this website...it really heartens one's soul and steels the mind on the weight loss journey knowing that those big goals (the reason why setting small goals along the way is a must) so far off in the distance are obtainable. Charles, what a true inspiration you are to others with your amazing accomplishment. Thank you for the encouragement I have been imbued with by reading your story. Kudos!
