I would like to join in if I may. I just signed up on the Slimfast website. Sent out for any buddies there as well. But I have used this website as a resource for years. I've run the gambit of diets. This is the one that I always fall back on.
How do you deal with the hunger for the first few days? |
Hello Britmum and welcome!!! I think the key to fighting hunger for me is drinking alot of water and crystal light, having higher protein snacks sometimes even an extra snack those first few days, chewing sugarfree gum and keeping busy. Good luck to you and I hope you keep posting with us!!
good monday morning everyone! Did you have a good weekend? Mine was a little off as usual but today I'll be making out menus and schedules for the week so i can get back on track. Good Morning anyone who's out there...awfully quiet! I had a pretty good day yesterday. I've decided to incorporate both SF and the Shangri-la diet (although thats not really a diet) Yesterday was a pretty good day for me, I did feel pretty hungry all day though and didnt get alot done because I spent too much time doing research. I did however workout! 30 minutes on the elliptical! We had spaghetti for dinner and I overate as usual, I dunno what it is with spaghetti but it gets me everytime!

I'm still here. SOOOO busy with the house. I have been doing pretty good, the nice weather helps. Went to a lifting class at the gym this AM and then for a walk with DD. I still have to get a bike. :) I have stayed the same, which is actually good as I have not been following the plan too closely. I am trying a few new things as well. What is the Shangri-la diet? For me that would be all the ice cream and pizza you can eat and still lose weight.. :D I'll try to post more regularly. Continued success. Deb |

Deb...so great to hear from you! Staying busy is definetly a very good thing in my opinion....keeps you out of trouble and you know you are burning some calories! Shangri-la is basically working with your set point weight. You injest flavorless calories twice a day and its supposed to help supress your appetite. You'd really have to read the book to fully understand, and I'm lousy at explaining LOL! I didnt workout yesterday, just had alot going on with the girls and their school, but I got a little walk in. I feel like I overate dinner last night but the scale was down a lb so I suppose thats a good thing! Off to a better day! I hope everyone else has a fantastic day today! ~melissa |

I havent switched plans, just incorporating another plan in with this one. Although the last couple of days has been sandwiches instead of shakes due to school activities but thats okay too! Have a fantastic weekend! ~melissa |
Well after a weekend of making some questionable food choices I'm back to planning for success! I did do very well on Saturday but the other days are a wash. As busy as my next few weeks are I would think I should be able to stick to plan like a champ...we'll just have to see I suppose.
I've not been exercising hoping that it will help that pulled hamstring heal but it just doesnt want to get better. So I should just get back to exercising. Its so quiet out there, I cant believe there arent more slimfast users. Even if you arent a slimfast user, support is such a huge key to success in this battle. Be good to yourself! well, I have just decided to try the plan starting this friday and just wanted to read the advice that everyone has about SF. But I understand that if no one is posting there is no need to start a new thread...I'll just make use of the SF webpage.
