I think it takes a LONG time for those really close to you UNLESS they stare at you and just absorb how big we are when we are big...it's a good thing he doesn't notice. I think it means when he sees you he just sees the woman he loves, not weight. I really think it is a good thing.
Oh, Dairy. What can I say. I had the whole family in the computer room to see what I was LOL at. You all crack me up!
DH notices, DS even noticed, but the said my "wobbles" (a Bryce-ism for boobs) we still too big, and made it harder to tell. I agree! Meghan just says I look prettyful. gotta love her!
Ribs? Who knew?! I'll bet you have a collar bone, too, huh?
Yeah, collar bones and bonier knees than I ever knew I had!
As far as people noticing, I think some people just pay more attention. I had someone that I see every week or two just notice that I had "lost some weight" I've lost almost 80 pounds!!! Yeah, I told her, I have lost some weight!
I actually felt lighter myself after the first 10 lbs. It took losing 30 lbs. for everyone else to notice. I think it was most noticeable in my face first. Now it's very noticeable in my hips and legs. I too was shocked when I started to feel my RIBS sticking out, and I love the new Collar Bones, didn't even think about them being buried under there. My neck was sore the other night and when I went to rubbing it, I noticed, OMG, I actually can feel my bony spine. My hubby likes to rest his hand on my hip bones now when we sleep, I guess before his hand might have got lost up there. LOL
DH and I were and he noticed I had HIP BONES said "so this is what it is like being married to a skinny girl. Also when I am coming out of the master bathroom he asks me to stand in the doorway so he can just look at how skinny I am getting. It's really sweet, and since not that many people seem to notice it's good. I did have a going away party for a family we know tonight and it was awesome. EVERYBODY started picking on me calling me "the vegetarian" because they say I always eat so healthy. I was like "HELLO, I am having a chicken sandwich right now." They pick on me for being a health nut now because I grow my own herbs and use grocery products from the health foods sections, but it doesn't bother me one bit...kinda flattering for a girl who was previously known as the one with a penchant for all things chocolate and all things buffalo wing!
Let them pick!! They just feel guilty for not making the same great choices--LOL. It's so nice when DH's make comments--even when mine is goofy I still love it--(even when I know I am being scammed )I don't think they realize how much we (at least me) need them!
Little NSV--I have always had a good cholesterol level so it's little but when we donated blood in February I was at 170 (good) but after I donated this past week I got my results today and have dropped to 141! DH was 238 (borderline high) in Feb and will get his new results in a few days--can't wait!!
awesome on the cholesterol. Dh was up to 240 something last time he gave blood, but they stuck him really bad last time and he vowed not to return to the blood bank (he has huge veins so they must have really been inexperienced). Anyway, I'm dying to know if his 25 lbs and better choices have made an impact. I'm like you...I want mine around forever!
He's being humbug (guess doesn't want to get his hope up) and says he doesn't think it will go down. I sure hope so, just can't see how it won't. I sure didn't expect mine to because I thought 170 was pretty low anyway. His whole family has high and mine is all low so I am hoping my girls got mine good stuff! It's weird--between us we've lost 63 lbs (more than our 6 year old!) and can't really accept it--we still see the old us and since we are still relatively new in the community most people we now know don't know the BIG us. Can't wait to go to Arizona the first of June--then we will be validated!
Tell DH not to give up the donating--we need him! We are big believers in blood, organs, etc. We are both also on the National Bone Marrow
Registry. Weird I guess, it's not like we LIKE being poked, just the feeling later.
I always wanted very badly to be a blood donor, but if my body has issued an immune response in the couple of weeks before a blood draw, I will test positive on an Elisa HIV test and indeterminate on a western blot. I have a natural antibody in my body that is so similar to our response to HIV that it makes me appear HIV positive on the usual tests. I found out first after donating blood, then it was all confirmed when I had my son (my delivery sparked the response and they drew blood in the hospital). Anyway, it apparently only happens to women and is genetic. It was really scary to carry my 2 week old baby into the AIDS specialist to get all the appropriate testing ordered! You freak out about people having colds around them even! I always wonder if this means I have some kind of natural resistance to HIV, but I am not willing to try to find out even in the name of science, ya know!
about the triangle...err....i wont miss baby powder! anyone else out there gotta slather on baby powder btwn their legs in the summer to stop rug burn....er!
i wont forget when i noticed that i was no longer thin! i was 208 at my highest and we shot a video of my new apartment, with me doing a make believe comical tour...when i saw the video i cried and cried and cried...it was my lowest point...i never realized before then that i had a double chin...because i never had one...but its when i decided to change!
i lost a good 20pound while being abroad in school here. and when i got back everyone had something to say! i guess thats when i noticed...when everyone else noticed...the problem with kids, and you, is that you see yourself everyday, so you dont notice a pound or two....and i still wear some of the pants i wore at 208, and pictures are proof that i was wearing them too tight...i guess i couldnt let go of 12-13....i just have no clue how i got them on!
