Default Brush your teeth!

Call me crazy, but I think that brushing my teeth curbs my food cravings! Does anyone do this to avoid giving in to cravings? What are some other methods to resist food (especially sweets) temptations?

When I'm having a crazy sweets craving that I know one cookie won't cure, I sometimes have one or two dill pickles. Gets rid of it like a champ!

I like the teeth brushing one since it makes just about everything taste horrid.

Here are mine...
When I crave chocolate I'll have a teaspoon of all natural peanut butter. Not sure why it works...maybe the texture? Maybe the fat?

Also I've decided that ignoring convention can help. If I'm craving jam or whipped cream there is no need to have bread or pie to put it on just because thats the way its "supposed" to be done. It may look like a terribly indulgent thing to have a tablespoon of whipped cream but would it really be better if there were a couple hundred calories of pie underneath?
