Do you log everything you eat ? Do you think we should write down the physical exercises too ?

Hi NoChick, who are you - introduction? I don't log everything I eat except occasionally. I do think it is important to do it often enough so that you have an idea of how many calories you are taking in. I never log exercise.

Alice, it is an amazing thing isn't it? I am surprised at myself and I won't say I didn't want to but waking up on Monday morning weighing slightly less than I did on Friday morning is a very good thing!

Gah, it's hot here again. Like really hot w/ heat indexes predicted around 103, that tease of cool weather last week just makes it worse!

Hi no-chick. welcome to this board. Yes i do keep track/ in fact got me a ex chart i keep on it. then i found DR. Phil food journal and i printed off page from it and i keep it on that. i like it has cal, carbs, fats, fiber, protein all on it. so takes me time to do it all. figured hey not eating at that time. so i am enjoying doing that. i mainly keep carbs and calories. it helps me to do it. now i use to on atkins just keep track of carbs. but i do different things keeps me on track. good luck to you.

Ledom.. I love getting up on monday mornings to and scales are lighter after my weekend and all. makes me feel so good to have them on the down side and start going down for week. instead of losing what i did already last week. so good for us. I am adding to my exercise this week to. when i get this infection from body it will be better to. have an allergic reaction to something. cannot figure out what it is. so no tomatoes. and this is the time for them we have so many canning and all. but that is life i guess.ha

LaDean, So sorry you are still struggling with alergic reaction. On tomatoes, they are quickly becoming unavailabe here, the homegrown ones anyway. We are in a major drought. The farmer's market folks are buying some pretty good ones from somewhere but even those are thinning out. Will go in the a.m. to check as I ate my last one today. They make a salad. I have gotten on to another thing in my salads, pickled vegetables. I add a couple small pickled beets, asparagus, okra, cauliflower and it really ups the flavor with few additional calories. That is one of the things I picked up in Montana.

I got my Winning by Losing book today. Have already read the first 3 chapters. It is a quick read and I like it a lot. Not so much a diet plan as how to get your head in a good place to lose - at least that is what I have gotten out of it so far. And along those lines, I spent quite a bit of time lurking around on 3fc this weekend. There are some people accomplishing amazing weightlosses here. I spent some time over on the success thread and was so inspired by before and after pics and people talking about how losing weight is changing their life. I am pumped by all the success around here.

Am feeling good and very thankful for this break in work that is allowing me to concentrate on lifestyle changes for a while.

Ledom. so glad you got the book and like it. sounds interesting. yes i do that alot i seach different boards here and get reaction to plans and all. helps me alot. and before and after stories. i also go to another site and like it to.. so all in all this week is going great. i think the medication is helping alot. scales sure went down. i figured all in all that was the case so much infection in my body. on 2 antibotics. course one just take 3 and every other day. then the other one a week. so tomorrow last day for it. so i feel better. i knew being tired was the cause to..oh well top shape now. ha ha scales are down 4.50 so far this week. so love that. been doing more exercise to and drinking more water. glad all is great your way.. and hi aleka... yes me to was 6 lb loss. oh how happy i was. then this am its down another 2 lbs so i am a happy one. my body had so much infection in it is why i was gaining i guess. so this feels better and i feel better. all came back good. i am a debetic though so on a diet for that. which i start truly today. then. so now mammorgram today and ultra sound. so now wait for results of that and a new women. ha ha have a good day to all of you. have a fun trip aleka to. i am heading out first of october. love to go.ha ha LaDean
