Gooseberry Drink
Gooseberry are our traditional health drinks with natural ingredients. Gooseberry can be prepared with nutritional fruits or roots and diluted with boiled, cooled water with needed seasoning as required.

Ingredients:
Gooseberry - 1/2 kg
Palm sugar or Jaggery or sugar -1 kg
Ginger powder - 5 gm
Cardamom Powder - 5 gm
Honey - as needed
Total quantity: 6-7 glasses
Method of preparation
Firstly, cook the gooseberries in a steamer and then remove the seeds and grind them to get the extract. After adding enough water and get the pulp from the grinded gooseberries. Palm sugar is made into syrup by boiling in 200 ml water. we can use Sugar or Jaggery if palm sugar is not available. Mix it with the prepared gooseberry juices. Add ginger powder and cardamom powder in to the mix. Mix the solution well and your drink is ready.
Health benefits
Gooseberry contains more health benefits. It can be used as a healthy drink as it acts as immediate energy supplement. It is rich source of calcium, potassium, vitamin C, B complex and antioxidants. It is good for osteoarthritis, atherosclerosis, anaemia, peptic ulcer, urinary tract infection, dysentery and high blood pressure.
