Definitely not a fast today. Ate a ton but avoided snacking. And finished my paper. I'm done for the semester. Whohoo!
congratulations on finishing your paper, and avoiding snacking.
I realize snacking got me into this and not snacking between meals is a great achievement...
Yesterday's Christmas lunch was nice, and I made a small dinner. Hoping to fast today as much as possible. I'm going to try to not eat at the holiday reception I have to attend tonight and make dinner when I get home. Let's hope I stick to it! There's a really delectable tray of sweets downstairs in the office right now...ugh! Why does no one ever brings trays of fruit? It's gonna be a tough week.
I guess that means I'm attempting to fast three days in a row? Yikes. That will probably not happen so I'll play it by ear. I may just have to stick to eating windows most of the week instead and try to do some extra workouts.
Only ate dinner today (even at the movies). Ate a bit more than I should have for a fast (seeing as I ate Indian and a bit was fried) but still pretty good at 700-something. Was down to 133.4 this morning and I hope to be down more tomorrow. Also very happy because it was gluten-free and didn't hurt my stomach
Ate dinner before my work event and only had a diet cioke while there! I did have a biscotti when I got home but I'm still counting it as a successful fast.
Well folks..I enjoyed fasting since August and that was only for a short term goal..it made me achieve to be under 400..'and now to act on my long term efforts.. it was a very easy path and now I will be calorie counting.
I'm rooting for you noname on your 3 day fast.....you actually eat 500 calories a day, am I right?
Well ladies, I did good at the buffet yesterday, but we picked up some gifts and then Dh and I ate a whole container of that butter toffee carmel corn clusters with macadamian nuts and chips and then walnuts and what can I say. But on a good note I waited a full 12 hours before eating again, and had a salad at a restaurant after we saw the Hobbit movie....
I just take the last thing I ate and count off the fast time to the next meal. I think that will be my holiday plan. Plus I will try to eat healthy. That popcorn was so good but no more
FinallyThin - Oh my goodness that toffee sounds delectable...Sounds like you have a good plan to get through this time of year.
Today is fast day 2 of 3. Today shouldn't be too difficult, tomorrow will probably be treacherous LOL But I will keep my evening meals a little bigger than usual, probably close to 600 calories instead of 500. Also going to attempt the gym tonight, and I have to go to the mall. YUCK.
Edit: Some lovely soul dropped off a huge fruit basket to my office. Bless them!!! I couldn't resist and had a clementine but that will be all until dinner. Unless someone cuts open the pineapple.

Noname, I'm cheering for you on your 3 day fast! I think a 600 cal dinner would still be considered a fast. Do you only eat 1 meal on your fast days? I could probably do that. I do much better having 1 meal than trying to stretch 500-600 calories throughout the day with mini meals. Eating a mini meal sometimes just wakes up my appetite.
Be careful going to the gym without many calories in your system.
Liliann, I'm curious as to why you are switching to calorie counting, especially since fasting has worked so well for you so far. Maybe you could do the 1800 calories with an 8 hour eating window.
Thanks Wannabe. How are you doing? It is good to see you posting again! No worries, I'm quick to stop and leave the gym if I'm not feeling right. And yes I eat all in one meal (aside from coffee in the morning). Much easier for me...
My fbs was 107 today. I've been eating within an 8 hr window, but today was a 5 hr window. I used to do a 5 hr window, but decided to start with the 8 hr window. I've kind of eased into the 5 hr window today and really hope this is going to become a habit for me. If I can do this throughout the holiday, I might be able to get back some of what got messed up with the Thanksgiving holiday.
