Nice, JJ!

I'm just starting this diet also so seeing your progress is inspiring! We are about the same weight, I'm 5'7" and 218 lbs.

I used Nutrisystem early this year to help lose 25 lbs -loved the not-so-much thinking aspect- but burned out on the boxed food after a few months. I've gained back 5. Saw the Simple Diet and love the idea. Over the years I was successful with WW and HCG but only when I had time to be completely obsessed with dieting. This simple diet has the easy aspects of NS, with lower cost and yummier foods, without having to be obsessed, which I flat out don't have time for.

I hope to see more of your progress. :)

JJ.... are you still on this diet? I am thinking about starting it. Can you give me a run down of what you're eating daily? I am 5'5 and around 205lbs right now. This seems super simple and my husband is wanting to do an eating plan with me. I can't keep up with calories or points so I think this might be a good option. Would love to do this with you.

Yes.... in the morning I have a special K shake and usually some strawberries or grapes.... for lunch a frozen meal under 300 calories with some cucumbers or a salad.... the same for dinner.... I'll have sugarfree jello or fruit for dessert...it has really worked for me so far... and I enjoy trying all the different frozen meals.

JJ,
are you having the three shakes or just one in the morning? Using any bars?

I usually just have one shake...but if I was craving something sweet in the evening I would definitely have another shake... love love love the chocolate shakes

Is this an active thread? My husband and I are doing the Simple diet and would love to hear from others.

Simple diet

Is anyone still doing this? I think I am going to try it. I need some motivation.

EJT 11-03-2016 07:52 AM

Yes, my husband and I are both doing it. It is so easy.

MyKidsandMyCat 11-13-2016 11:35 PM

Must you have three shakes a day? They are a bit costly so to reduce the amount would be great.

teewine 01-16-2017 03:38 PM

I'm starting on this plan today. 2 shakes and 4 FVS down.

Harriette 01-16-2017 05:08 PM

This is totally my "bar" diet as my friends call it. I substitute bars for shakes because I HATE shakes...a day looks like this: smart ones breakfast sandwich, bar for snack at 9. Lunch bar at noon, snack bar at 2:30 and dinner is a frozen entrée with desert a frozen greek yogurt. I do free choice ocean spray juice (watered down 1 part juice to at least 2 parts water). 1200-1400 calories a day. Fitness class 6 days a week, hikes when the weather cooperates at least once a week and I work my horse 6 days a week.

problem is, when I go off it I eat like mad and gain it back. I am great at LOSING but lousy at maintaining :(

I lose a solid 10lbs a month this way. I can gain 10-15 lbs a month when I am binging. I have to figure out the balance part because it seems I am either ON or I am eating KFC. There is no middle ground.

teewine 01-16-2017 08:07 PM

I think part of my problem is that I do not have a consistent schedule. I go to sleep / wake up at different times almost every day. Then sometimes I take naps too. Completely screws me up.

Any who today I had

Shake 1 - Vanilla Shake w/ banana

Shake 2 - Chocolate Shake w/ cherries.

Shake 3 - progresso light beef pot roast soup

Entree 1 - lean cuisine BBQ chicken plus some canned green beans

Snack 1 - apple

Snack 2 - orange

Snack 3 - zone chocolate mint bar

I still have an entree to go... and I'm looking forward to it! I'm a bit hungry, but this seems doable. I'm going to have to watch those bars though.

I might take Harriette's lead and use bars instead of shakes. I like them a lot better.
