Had a rough few days. Ate within my window, but just eating too much. I plan to do a 24 hour fast to play a little catch-up. Still holding on to the 2lb vacation gain, but no more than that, thank goodness!

LisaTcan - I generally do my 24 hour from Friday evening until Sat evening because I'm busy all day Sat and then we're in church late in the afternoon, so it works perfectly for me. I find that the busier days are easier to fast. Don't forget it's fine to move your fast around, if you need to, although a regular schedule works best for me.

Hi Everyone else! I've been crazy busy with work and haven't been posting, but I have been reading.

Congratulations to those of you who are losing weight and finding your IF path.

I've hit a rough patch since I"ve been back from vacation. (too much bread and carbs - which hold weight for me). Need to hit my "re-start" button. Weather is improving, so that will help.

My weight is still bouncing around, which I blame on not eating as cleanly as I should be. I'm fasting today and I've got all the off-plan food out of my house, so moving forward it's back on track and hopefully my weight will stop being so frustrating. I'm hovering just above the 200 mark and I'm really tired of seeing that number!

Have a great day, everyone. I plan to spend my lunch hour on the elliptical. It's kind of nice not having to worry about fitting in lunch on top of a midday workout.

Lisa - I do my 2 fast during the week i.e. Monday and Thursday. I find it a lot easier for me to do during the week during work. On the weekends the hubby and I have such a varied schedule it makes it hard. I basically am just skipping breakfast and lunch. I still "have lunch" with my coworkers on my fast days. I just drink water. I've found that lunch for me is as much about being with my coworkers as it is eating.

I've been in a rut this last week or so and I think it is affecting my diet. I'm just so sick of sitting here at my desk all day when it is so beautiful outside. I feel like I live the movie Office Space, minus the whole committing fraud against the company part. :shrug: Oh well I'll get over it.

I had perfect 19/5 day yesterday! It felt great.

I am planning on another 19/5 day for today and 24 h fast tomorrow.

First Day doing eat stop eat was a success!

I ate from 10am-4pm and drank a ton of water and tea. Good luck today everyone.

did my fast yesterday and am up 1/2 pound this morning. Feeling pretty frustrated. I did have too much to break my fast though.

I do my fasts on the same days as you! :)
I feel like Mondays is for detoxing from the weekend and Thursday is the next convenient day since I'm supposed to be vegetarian on those days anyway.

I also wanted to ask you when you started this journey. When did you weight 251? The reason I ask is because I'd really love some motivation to know how I'm going on my journey.

wvuchick and Saisha...ME THREE! So tomorrow we all fast :) Plus I have two other 3FC friends who will fast as well tomorrow. YAY!

I am trying pack on 1600 calories today. Monday's fast was not bad, but I ate junk when dinner time came around. I am hoping to go in "fuller" that i won't reach out for garbage food.

I totally know what you mean! End the fast, start the crap! Yikes! On Mondays, I eat whatever I've cooked for the family. But on Thursdays since I'm vegetarian on that day, I eat a HUGE salad and an omelet with spinach, tomatoes and some cheese. I find that it totally fills me up and helps with the detoxing until that horrible weekend comes around :)

It's nice to know that I'll be :dizzy: on the same days as you too :)

Ok, so I do Monday's to kind of detox from the weekend as well. Thursday is kind of the reverse. Thursday is to prepare for the weekend. And Friday is too much like the weekend, I guess is my thinking.

I started at 251 in July. I got to 222 by like November just using calorie counting. Then the holidays hit, I fell completely off the wagon, but luckily only gained 2 lbs. Then I lost another 5 lbs before starting IF. I started IF on 2/2. I've lost 6.6 lbs since, there was a week vacation in there too, so really the 6.6 lbs has been over a month or so.

Cherrypie - Don't get discouraged. Our bodies are just so weird. I stayed the same exact weight after my Monday fast. Usually I drop a lb. Keep fighting the good fight. You will lose or win, however you want to think of it!

How long have you been doing it?
Are you trying to get cut or lose weight?
If lose weight, how much have you lost?
And for fun, where are you from?


I'll answer first. I am doing ESE, fasting 2 x's a week. I have been doing it for about 6 weeks. I am trying to lose weight, i think i have defined muscles, they're just hidden by fat! I have lost 6.6 lbs with IF, that number would be higher if I hadn't already lost like over 30 lbs before that. I was at a plateau and IF helped get over it. I was born and raised and have lived all but 3 years of my life in WV.

Thanks Sum38, that sounds good and healthy..wish i ate more like that...And way to go on your 19/5 yesterday,,feels good when you get it right.

Aquatears, I didnt do the full 24 but I did 19 1/2 hours so I cant make myself feel bad about that. Just felt really really hungry. And your 16/8 is still great, keep it up and lets not give up :)

LisaTcan- the best time for me to do the fast is when I work because on the weekends its eat eat eat with family.

Italiannie, Ive wondered where youve been.. glad to hear from you and I understand trying to get back into things after vacation.. Im also eating too much in my window, i can feel that the weight is not coming off as fast as before, but we can do it,, one day at a time.

thistoo- good luck on your fast and on your elliptical time.

What a great day :sunny:

I did 5.4 mile walk IN SHORTS :carrot: It felt great to air out my pasty white skin :D

My appetite is not that huge today. Somehow sun and warm always makes me "full"...:crazy: (Plus ovulation is done ;)) I did eat over 3 1/2 hour window, ended up with 1450 calories, very well balanced meals and great food choices. I was done eating by 3:30 pm....hummm.... We shall see if I am totally starving tonight. I have a very busy night ahead of me, running kids around and one late meeting. I think I will be too tired to be hungry by the time I get home :dizzy: I just can't put any more food in right now without bursting. I am stuffed.

How long have you been doing it? ~ I am BRAND new to this, maybe a week. It was supposed to be only 2 week thing out of month, but I seem to do well eating like this all the time.
Are you trying to get cut or lose weight? ~ Lose weight; another 20+ pounds to go.
If lose weight, how much have you lost? ~ 16-18 pounds.
And for fun, where are you from? ~ I live in Michigan, but I am from Finland.


Saisha You know... Until I stated IF (a week ago :lol) I had 2 vegetarian days; Tuesdays and Thursdays. I want to get at least one vegetarian day day in per week, I am just so new to this and I need to tweak everything. I always ate one avocado per day, and it really filled me up (along with my huge salads).

cherrypie My body works like that as well. Don't get discouraged. Maybe it is just hormonal. :hug:

Good morning, everyone. After my mid-week fast I weighed in this morning at 200.4. I have no idea what my body's doing right now, so maybe it will bounce back up again. Who can say. I'm leaving town Saturday for a family trip to Florida, so maybe the break from the scale will be good for me. I do have a tendency to fixate on the number. Right now it's only driving me crazy because I'm trying to get below 200 and it's not cooperating. Maybe when I get back from vacation I'll be there.

If lose weight, how much have you lost? Not much, since I started, to be honest. I don't think fasting is helping with my weight loss. I enjoy it, though, so I keep doing it anyway.
And for fun, where are you from? Right now I live in eastern Tennessee, but I'm from Rhode Island.

I do Fast 5 during the week and try to squeeze in 1 or 2 24hr fasts if possible. I am looking to lose weight and have lost 8,9 lb since starting on Feb 1st..I am from New Mexico.
