Ok Tiff, where did you go? Hope everything is ok
I'm bad, didn't do weights yesterday. Got caught up doing things for everyone else, kept putting it off. So, today I'm going to try to do both cardio and weights.
Still not eat'n right. Dream'n of having a personal cook. Wouldn't that be cool. Reality check. DH likes the foods I already fix, and isn't open to change. *whimper*

I'm all caught up. Did weights and Cardio this morning.
AND...I ate a balanced breakfast! I'm going to copy the food log section of the book so I can keep track longer than the 2 weeks she provides pages. Food is my biggest challenge.

Dyan, that hip lift w/feet on chair is hard. I wonder if I don't need a different chair?
I up'd my weight today. I only have 2's, 3's, 5's and 8's. Looks like I might need to buy 10's soon. Guess that's a good thing.

Hey Girls, I did my weights this morning and did the first exercise with the 10 pound weights...found out quickly that it was too much. Guess I'll have to make a trip to the next town to try and find the 8 pounders.

Hello. I need to get heavier weights too. I have 2's thru 8's.
I put a little more into it today. Actually broke a sweat and arms feeling like noodles. Feels good though! Peaked around the book and added a couple more choices today. I really like this, and glad I started it.
Wish TIFFANY would show up and let us know how she is doing.

Missed my lifting workout on Wednesday, which left me depressed.

I missed my workout too...with DH's surgery and DS's schedules. I'm gonna try to get cardio and weights in today! Maybe it will pick me up enough to get through the weekend without a complete crash landing in funkytown!

Ok, did the program last night.

Chest Press with 8#s
Standing Bicep Curls with 8#s
One arm tricep press with 5#s
And the lateral raises with 3#s

Felt pretty good. The other exercises aren't too bad. For some reason, I don't like the Hip Lift with legs on the chair. Maybe because it works. LOL....the self resisted hamstring exercise feels like it takes forever...anyway, I am here and doing it!

Today is my cardio day, I think I will take a BRISK walk for 45 minutes and call that my cardio. If I walk fast enough to get my heart rate really up there, that should do it. I have a heart monitor that I can wear. The main part fits under my chest, like a belt...then I wear the watch part that tells my heart rate. I like seeing that!

Hope everyone is doing well! 12 weeks will fly by! Can't wait to see the results!

Tiff

I copied about a dozen pages of the food log. Is anyone else using it?

I haven't used them, I think it would be easier for me if I wasn't at work, as far as trying to eat the several balanced meals.

I did copy the exercise pages and put them in a binder, so I can have multiple copies and write on them and then be able to start fresh for the next 12 weeks.

This was my second night of weights. I can feel those muscles working.

Loving it,
Tiff

How is everyone doing? I started this by following the books guidelines for the exercises that they have listed in the book for week one, week two, etc. But I find I get easily bored. So, I am using different exercises for the biceps, etc.

Like on Monday, I use the first exercise listed in the bicep section, then on Wed, I use a different bicep exercise, and so on. It gives me a little variation and I don't get as bored.

This was my week two. I feel my chest muscles and shoulders for sure. I think most of us have some biceps already going on. But I am looking forward to really working these triceps and toning up my chest too.

It's Sunday...free day. I love the sound of that. But I think I will be getting plenty of exercise today. Dang, I wish I lived in a warmer state where I could get out all the time. I hate cold weather.

Tootles,
Tiff

Got off track following the program, but I do like it. It's just hard making the whole lifestyle change. Gonna try to rope myself back in!
