First I want to thank all of you for providing me support last week. I was REALLY in the dumps about not losing weight, and plus I have alot of personal issues I am working through so my stress level is at 100+ every day. Nevertheless we are ALREADY in the 5th week of our challenge! Regardless of where we all started and where we plan to go by our June 2nd goal date, we should celebrate the pounds/inches loss and fitness/health gained in the last month.
Let's get Week 5 Stats posted (I will post mine later since I'm at work)!
I only got 6 days in this week (if that makes any sense )

According to my GWF numbers I should have lost 3.5 pounds and after a rough week last week for me, I thought I was going to pull a bigger number. None the less, I am down 2 pounds and I am grateful for that. I think I need to kick up the notch on how I am burning calories.
Can I join this late?? I hope so - I got a GWF about 3 weeks ago and I have a hard goal to reach before my birthday at the end of May. This challenge would be perfect. I need to lose 30 lbs by then to reach a goal I have - that means 2.5 lbs per week o.O
I'll start posting stats next Wednesday if that is okay.

Looks like I am a bit behind, I should be at 25% by now to hit my goal. Hopefully I can make up the difference in the next few weeks. I'd love to be able to say I hit my goal of this challenge!
Overall everyone's stats are looking really good. I am noticing that even though one week some of us may not see a loss or may even see a gain, we are all still experiencing a downward tend. I also think it was a good idea for us to measure the percentage to our goal because sometimes just looking at the raw onsie/twosie numbers really undermines how far we are coming along. We are almost 1/3 of the way through the challenge. I can't believe I have been wearing my GWF daily for over a month now! It seems unreal!
I know there has been various discussions about calorie in vs. calorie out and I firmly believe that it just isn't as simple as that. Even if I assume an error percentage, my actual weight loss continues to lag what I calculate my weight loss should be. I would say that I am 95% accurate with my calorie counting. I measure and weigh EVERYTHING, so unless my GWF is severely inaccurate I just can't put my finger on the reason why I can't seem to hit a consistent 2 pound weight loss. Regardless, at the end of the day it's all about the trend. That goes for all of us! And soon spring will be here!

Glad to hear you back to your positive upbeat self this week!
I agree with you. I know there has to be more than just calorie in and out. I am so glad I found this board as it really helps me see all different facets of what it takes to lose this weight.
I also agree there has got to be more to it than just the deficit. I noticed last week when I didn't lose...I did calculate everything, but I also ate a lot of high sugar high fat foods...I think it completely messed me up. Even though the deficit was there I was eating bad foods...and well that took away from the amount of healthy foods I could eat because my cal intake was getting too high, and I wasn't eating a lot because the calorie content of the high sugar foods were so high it made me eat less.
There has got to be something to that though because although I didn't eat a lot...what I did eat was high sugar/high calorie...and I exercised a lot to try and counter act what I ate....didn't work though because I did not get a loss. I felt like it was a total week lost...but it was a lesson learned that I have to eat those high sugar foods in moderation...even with exercise and a lot of exercise if I eat too much sugar I will not get a loss..

I am so happy to have my BB. I finally feel like my goal is close to becoming a reality. I'm 12 pounds from the weight that I hope to get to and maintain! I'm hoping that those last 10 pounds don't prove to be an impossible mission.
This is the second week in a row where I've had a good deficit and should have lost 2 lbs, but I have lost nothing. I track religiously, every bite. It is really disappointing. I don't understand why I am not losing.
