Tiff, You like the Bacon Brothers! I'm giddy! I just love their music.
I'm having a terrible time. Oldest son wants to join band STILL. He's only 10, 5th grade. A sax costs anywhere from $700 on up. I hate to not let him do something he wants. But eegads, $$. And, I'm thinking one of his reasons is 'cuz a friend joined. I have to decide today. My sensible side wants to tell him to wait until next year...if he still wants to join then...ok. My weak, love my child side wants to give him what he wants. I need tylenol.

Huntress~ Step DD is 9. I'm counting down the years until we won't have to deal w/ her mother (money wise)! 9 down, 9 to go....

Tiff ~ Can ya tell I'm loving these new smilies, and if I thought my post wouldn't explode, I would have added quite a few more!

Tiger ~ Have you looked into renting one. When I was in 4th grade, I played the flute. We rented it from a music store. It went out of business and now I have a flute, somewhere . Here, have a for your .

I like this. Now I can have "virutal" cookies, pizza and cheeseburgers. Hehe.

Hope everyone has a 3 pointer day, and here's another .

My kids were in band here and the school provided the instruments........are you sure that you have to buy your own.

Dyan - wish I had some good advice for you, but besides taking her back to court or at least having an attoryney scare her with a letter, all I can say is you gotta be firm with her. People will run you over if you let them.

Huntress ~ Tell me about it! DH doens't like conflict, so he lets her walk all over him. Then I get mad , and feels like he's in the middle. Which he is. If I could, I would tell her where to go, in a heartbeat. But last time we got into it, she wrote some crazy thing in the court papers about me. She's such a pain in the arse. One of the things that REALLY gets me, is that when we went to court, we wanted her more, and her mom fought us tooth and nail!! Telling us it was all about the money. Well, now she has a new boyfriend and it's like, oh, you can have her whenever you want, blah, blah. Yeah, now that we now have 3 other children AND she gets the court ordered amount of child support. I love my Step DD to death! She's a doll (and we never talk bad about her mom in front of her), but damn it, right about now, it is about the money. As is turns out now, her boyfriend got laid off. I have a big fat , I'm gonna take 2 and call the doc in the morning! hehe

Hi Girls, are you taking any newbies? I've been lurking at your thread and think you all are great. Not only are you funny but motivating as well. Would also like to join the point challenge thread but don't know if I should wait until it starts again. I'm older than most of you all sound, but I really don't feel my age (52).

HI SEMO ,

I just recently joined these crazy, wonderful ladies myself! They're great! We're always looking for "new blood". They welcomed me with open arms, and I'd like to do the same for you.
So, WELCOME .

Huntress~ Thanks. I'll get through this, like every other thing that goes wrong. I'm just thankful that I can come here and vent before my head explodes . I'm sure my DH would thank you all if he could. Because now he doesn't have to hear it .

Oh yeah, Semo, you are welcome to join the 30 day challenge. If ya start today, you'll only be 10 days behind, but at least ya started.

Thanks for the welcome. I got so tickled at the discription of Walk Away the Pounds video experience. I've been doing 5 miles on my Orbitreck and thought those tapes would be TOO easy for me. (just purchased them a few weeks back) Well after doing the three mile with the belt I thought I WAS GONNA DIE...... I've now done the three mile twice and think it's a great workout. I have to do the cool down several times to stop sweating. Great way to get your water in.

Speaking of water.........I can't seem to make myself drink today. The thought of chugging all that water, feeling bloated and running to the bathroom all day makes me want to gag. I'm beginning to wonder if a person who is relatively sedentary, spends 90% of their day indoors in the A/C really needs as much as all that. OK, well I know it's good for me, but some days I just can't do it.

Welcome Semo, nice to have some new blood in here. We love new people but somehow manage to run them off Not intentionally of course. So stick around and have some fun with us!

Huntress: The only good point that I can throw in about water is that when I drink at least 64 oz per day I do not eat as much in between meals. (you know that I just sort of need something feeling) I was a diet coke junkie for years and have winged myself away from them. Some days I don't drink any soda and really wouldn't miss them at all except about 3 pm I need a little pick me up so I try to limit myself to one a day. Have you tried Crystal Lite? I would think that you could still count that as water, or at least a lot of other diet plans say you can.

Semo,

I just saw something for the WATP abs video. Is that what your doing? I'm thinking of purchasing them. Because these abs need all the help they can get. From all the , 's and 's that have gone into!! I think it was something like $40 and since I'm taking back "The Firm" videos, I was thinking about getting these instead.

Huntress~ Drink woman, drink! . I've been a drinking fool today. I was so worked up this morning (as you know ) and I found myself drinking and drinking......Then I thought, man I'm good . At least I was reaching for my water instead of food.

Where are all the other peeps? the 100# is Super dead

Whew! How on earth to keep up with all of you!?!? I just love that everyone can come in here and get advice or vent or whatever and it doesn't necessarily have to do with weight loss. My big problem was always that worrying about losing weight kinda' controlled EVERYTHING in my life. But there's so much more to life, huh? Like all these new smilies!! So cool!

Welcome SEMO! This is the place to be ... if you're a fast typist!! Seriously, it's a great group!

Dyan, you were looking for someone to shoot you and put you out of your misery. Hm, sounds to me like you're not the one that should be put out of YOUR misery. I can offer no advice with no kids or step kids. Sorry. I can however send good vibes. :

Tiffany, so you're a lady of leisure now. Sounds wonderful to me! Years ago, when I was out on disability, the dr. wanted me to stay out for 6 weeks. I managed 3 before I started to go insane. Now, I think I could probably "force myself" to take the 6. BTW, I knew what you were saying about the thighs rubbing. Believe me! I do know! But I just had this mental image of the firemen responding.... *giggle*

Now I simply must check out those Bacon Brothers....

My favorite new smilie from the girl who collects unicorns and dragons and wizards!!

Dyan: Yep, I'm pretty sure that is the name of my videos. I got a belt that have cords with mine. I ordered them from QVC. That's another addiction that I have.... SHOPPING NETWORKS. OMGoodness is my hubby ever going to kill me if he finds out all the stuff that I have bought in the last couple of months.
Here I'm telling all my secrets and we've just met.

Hey Jo~

Okay, so I'm over it now :hypno2: . I get mad, I vent, I get over it. Unless.....it's something SUPER, SUPER bad. Well, even then I can forgive, but will NEVER forget. You know the whole "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" type thing.

I would like to use these smilies and make you all 's for the day. RRReeeaaadddyyy.....Abracadabra .......... . Better stop there, or I'll lose my post!
