Default Flower, you are who inspired me to start the online journal so know

that someone other than you does indeed get something from yours other than you. I read yours to find out that you are selling and about C. Glad to hear that is being worked out. Relationships are never easy, are they?

Your salad sounds delicious. Hey! Speaking of cleaning house I just found a website from the Provida Forum called FlyLady.com. Advice on getting yourself motivated to clean the house in an organized way. LOL! I could use help in that area also! It was interesting and I did join for the emails. YOu might want to take a look. They may even have advice on moving. Do you know if you are staying in L.V. or where you are going? Please don't lose touch. I miss hearing from you and all the rest of the gang on a daily basis!

I did it. I placed the order for the Smart Technique. Read some more posts about the Food Lovers plan and IF I choose to follow it then SlimFast will be OUT OF THE QUESTION. I don't have to follow it. People are doing SF and WW and any number of other plans using the tapes and I am not really sure IF I COULD follow it. Very much like Sugar Busters in that no sugars, white flour, pototoes etc are allowed. Also like combining from what I can see. You must have protein with your carbs. I don't know.........

I guess we shall see. They said it could take from 1-2 weeks to get it.

I hope I didn't make a $118 mistake.

Didn't have a good night last night. Ate several handfuls of licorice babies. Well, I guess it could have been worse but I know it could have been better.

I am anxious to receive the audio support from the Smart Technique. People seem to be seeing progress in both the weight loss and the relaxation, hypnosis or whatever it is.

Having a milk chocolate shake for breakfast.

Found something wonderful today at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Okay, it has sugar in it but they are fat free and VERY chocolatey. Meringues. They came in chocolate, vanilla, cappuchino (all fat free) and chocolate chip and mint chocolate chip (low fat). 4 BIG cookies have only 80 calories and they are delicious! If you are having a chocolate attack and NE-ED at fix this is a good choice, I guess. They are very crunchy and take time to eat .

Had half of a garden burger rib sandwich made on a wheat roll. Pickle were also on the sandwich. A handful of Doritos Baked chips, some cucumbers and tomatoes in an organic , fat free dressing that I found at Kroger. 2 TBS have only 15 calories. It is called Toasted Sesame Dressing and Marinade by Spectrum Naturals. It is pretty good. Also had a sliced squash "fried' in my Turbo Cooker. Used a little flour and a tiny amount of olive oil. It was really delicious. Hubby and I shared 1 squash.

I may have a vanilla shake later on with the diet orange soda that someone posted about. Sounded interesting. I have one frozen in the freezer so I may use that and share it with hubby.

I do so hope that the ST cd's help with these cravings from nowhere. I don't understand why all of a sudden I am wanting to graze! I have a feeling it will be a tough battle to try to stay on track until they arrive.

Hope everyone is cravingless today!

Default My Smart Technique cd's should arrive tomorrow.

I am anxious to begin them.

I also am reading a book entitles THE SPARK. A member of another forum suggested it to me. Very interesting. The program includes exercise (aerobic, strength training and flexibility) but it is all done in 10 minute increments for 15 sessions per week. Also has an eating plan but it is very much like a lot of others. High fiber, low fat, etc. Nothing wrong with it. In fact, I am sure it is very healthy. The exercise program though sounds WONDERFUL!

Haven't been slim fasting very religiously. I have been watching portion sizes though so hopefully I haven't backslid too much.

Glad to see the boards back up. I missed them for the few days they were unavailable.

Default What a conglomeration.....

I am. I am slimfasting, lowfatting, Sparking and Smarting at the same time. I guess you could say I am indecisive, huh?

It seems to be working though. My jeans are feeling looser.

Did a 10 minute Spark on the mini-tramp this morning and going to try to do another this evening. (Audri, I thought of you when I was pulling out the old tramp yesterday.) Is Cookie, MailWhale, Itsworthit, Dolphingirl or any of the old gang posting anywhere that you know of?

I think Dolphin is posting at the msn chub club page. So does Mailwhale . I don't have the page saved anymore but go to msn clubs and go to chub club. I am going to be mia till probably the 10th. I will try to read posts from other computers but mine is going in a box for a few weeks. I should have it set up by the 10th. Take care of yourself! ~audri

Default Flower, I know you may not read this for a while.....

Hope your search for the new house goes well and you find exactly what you are looking for.

LOL! I have tried and tried again to find the MSN site for the Chub Club......No luck! When you get a chance and get your computer set up, please post the link. You know me.

I am still listening to the tapes. I do seem to be having an easier time following a food plan so we will see if they continue to help.

TTYL,
Karen

Smile bars

I have tried the Slim-Fast plan before, with no success, but I have decided to give it another chance. I am going to TOPS meetings in my town, and so far I have gained/lost/gained/lost.... You get the picture. I feel like I have tried EVERYTHING (legal--and I refuse to go to the illegal!!). I have come to the conclusion that it is either give up or buckle down. I'm going with the buckling down choice, at least for now. Anyway, the reason for this post is the discussion of price of the Slim-Fast products. If any of you are coupon clippers, you should be aware that in the Sunday paper a week or two ago there were three Slim-Fast coupons--1 for a free granola bar (which are new and WONDERFUL), 1 for a dollar off of three granola bars, and 1 for $2 off of a 12-pack of the cans. This makes the granola bars 4 for $1.68, which I think is a good deal. Also, Wal-Mart has the 12-pk cans (with three free) for around $9.70. So you can get 15 cans for less than $8. Let me tell you, I have been rounding up the coupons!!

Good luck to all y'all! Wish me luck as well.

So close to giving up......again.......

Karefree--

Just browsing the forums to see if I can catch up on some of the ones that haven't posted in awhile. How have you been doing? Did you ever find a plan that works in a way that makes you happy? I've been counting calories, but still drinking a Slim Fast with my breakfast every morning to give myself some "staying power" for the rest of the day.

I broke up with my fiance a couple of weeks ago and just almost crashed my died BIG time--talking like a pint of Ben & Jerry's. But I didn't. Walked some extra miles instead.

I hope things are going well for you.
