Question Question

Hey there everyone! I recently went on a doctor ordered diet in hopes that weight loss will help a knee situation I am having. In this diet, I am supposed to eat 1800 calories a day. However, I have been averaging about 1000 calories per day. I eat whenever I am hungry, and I have more energy than normal. My question is, am I damaging my body or doing anything wrong? I feel fine and satisfied, so I am not sure. Thanks!

Hello!
Just a quick answer to your question. In my humble opinion, 1000 calories is too low to sustain weightloss. Your body will think it is being starved and will hang on to the stored fat. You should eat at least 1200 calories per day. Just make sure they are calories from nutrient-rich foods. Each person is different and therefore we all need different amounts of food. I would be sure and bring this up to your doctor. Even if you don't eat 1800, try for 1200--1500. I hope this helps and good luck to you!
