One of my major problems with weight loss was that I never understood the science behind it. "Just eat less" didn't quite work for me as an answer. John Walker's
The Hacker's Diet at
Fourmilab Switzerland helped me lose weight over the course of a year to drop from 330 pounds down to 295 pounds.
As I explained in my
introduction post, I gave in to co-worker lunchtime peer pressure and stopped the diet after taking a new job. I'm now picking up where I left off (287 pounds this morning) and have a goal set for 200 pounds!
The Hacker's Diet is basically a free book on John's Web site that explains how geeks and slug computer guys like me can lose weight without giving up all those wonderful geek things in life! It also has a great weight monitoring program for Palm OS in the software section called
EatWatch.
Anyway, just figured I'd share and see if anyone else had used this system!
