Hi,
I can't beleive this is our 3rd thread-it is long overdue! That last one had over 2800 readers, and 181 posts!
To all of the newbies-we are a thread dedicated to doin' it the old fashioned way-excercise and moderating how much we eat-either through counting calories or Weight Watchers points or Richard Simmons Food Mover-it is really all the same-just a different system for keeping track.
We seem to enjoy this way better, because we can have our favorite foods in moderation, and feel less deprived because no food is totally off limits.
I started the first thread in the spring, and have made a lot of great friends here-there are some wonderful ladies here. We share our weigh-ins,our daily conquests and slip-ups,new recipes and healthy food finds, tips,motivation, and plenty of support-with our weight loss and in our own lives.
It is so much easier to succeed when you have friends who are in the same boat with you and know what you are going through.
We encourage you all to join us, whether you have 10 pounds to lose or 200-we can all be healthier.
