I just stumbled upon this thread and had to post! I'm a big hockey fan and my husband and I even met at a hockey game! It's the foundation of our relationship! We are HUGE Colorado Avalanche fans! Even though some of you may be misguided, it's still nice to see some other hockey fans around.

Steph: Ovechkin is a great player, but I'm still mad at him for his hit on Briere a month ago or so... But, that's the nature of the game, so I suppose I'll get over it. They played nicely together in the All Stars game.

Okay....I dont' know what's happened to my Sabres, but they're losing their grip. Two losses in a row... Bleh...

I'm jealous! We are living in the DC area right now so we don't get to see our beloved Avs very much anymore. We did do a two week hockey trip last spring...8 cities, 9 hockey games, 1 baseball game and a Broadway show! As part of that trip we were able to see a game in Buffalo. We really enjoyed the arena there. Thought it was among the better ones we have been to. Good crowd as well. Hope to get back sometime...hopefully when they play the Avs!

Avsfan/Liz: My friend also got tickets to the Oilers game on the....15th?...or so. I'm so jealous..the things one can afford when one has no kids...and lives near Buffalo. We moved to about 4 hours away a few years ago, but still get to see every Sabres game on MSG. She's also going to check out the Sabres gift shop for me. You can't seem to get ANYthing with Sabres on it that is decent these days...everything's sold out!
