Default Any good scary movies?

Okay, my boyfriend and I often have movie nights... where we pick one day a month to stay up super late and watch movies and munch butter free popcorn

Now, my boyfriend loves scary movies, but for me... they are...scary *falls over* Don't get me wrong, I love scary movies....but I don't like the scary movies about people going out of their mind and killing people.... like Scream... or I Know what you did last Summer.

Anyways, does anyone know any good scary movies that don't deal with a person (human) going nuts and taking a chainsaw to everyone?

by the way my BF and I love classics, so black and white movies are great, as are the cheesy movies... like Nightmare on Elm Street.

Oh yeah! Here are some of my faves!

In The Mouth of Madness
Event Horizon
Sleepy Hollow (w/Johnny Depp)
Dawn of the Dead (1978)
The Shining
Evil Dead
Land of the Dead
The Thing (1980)
Donnie Darko (not really "scary" but it is awesome)

Have fun!

Our tradition on Halloween is to break out the Abbott and Costello movies. We love them!!

Hold that Ghost
Abbott & Costello meet Frankenstein
Abbott & Costello meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
Abbott & Costello meet The Mummy

Red Eye is a great suspense movie that isn't slasher-movie scary.

Definitely The Shining! Also, The Serpent and The Rainbow kind of freaked me out ... about Haiti and voodoo.

Silent Hill - there's a bit of gore but not that much

My husband and I recently watched The Descent. We thought it was pretty good and it has been getting a lot of positive reviews.

I was actually creeped out long before the ghoulies showed up. There are a lot of scenes in tight spaces.
