Somehow I deleted all my songs, seem to have rebooted the thing and it isn't recognized on Itunes at all. I think it is trying to update (hopefully). It has a spinning spiky wheel thing in the upper left corner and says do not disconnect. The updater thing is blank except for the title bar thing, and it wont close at all. Any ideas technology buffs?
If iTune's isn't seeing the iPod and then it probably isn't updating. Trying unplugged it and plugging it back. Try reformating with the iPod updater.

Hey.
Try to look it up on google? That's what I had to do with mine. I couldn't figure out how to delete songs from my nano.
Did you also try File and Update? Just a thought..
All the best!

I had a similar problem with my iPod, where it wouldn't play anything at all! So, I took it back to the big box store where I bought it from. They shipped it off to Apple, who determined that the iPod was faulty and gave me a coupon to replace it for free at the big box store (even though it was over 2 years old, and I didn't have an extended warranty on it!!!). The model that I had is no longer produced (!) so the big box store gave me a credit for the full amount to spend on anything that I wanted. SO, I got two iPod shuffles (one for me and one for my husband), some iPod accessories, and some computer software!!!! AND, I have brand loyalty to both Apple AND the big box store!!!! Why not take yours in to where you bought it and see what can be done?
Best of luck!
