Add me to the oily skin club. I absolutely cannot stand to wear liquid foundation as it makes me feel like my face is sliding off. Not to mention, after an hour, it already looks awful. I started using Bare Escentuals makeup a few months ago, and I will now sing it's praises from the rooftops. It feels so light on, and I don't have any slippage problems like I've had with every other makep that I've tried. It is quite an investment up front, but I find that I use less makeup to get better coverage. Hopefully this means that it will last a long time. The biggest key, I think, is their brushes. Invest in them; don't skimp and buy cheaper ones.
I wash my face with MD Formulations Facial Cleanser for oily and problem prone skin, and use their Glycare Lotion (like a toner) before putting on my makeup. My skin looks better now than it has in ages, even without makeup on.
I also read somewhere about putting milk of magnesia on your face to block oil from seeping up through your makeup. I thought it was crazy until I tried it, but it really works. After I use the Glycare Lotion, I pour MOM onto a cotton square and wipe a thin layer all over my face. Eight hours later, my makeup is still on my face and barely has any shine to it at all.
