Tell her you are on the chips and donut diet and you have lost all this weight eating as much as you want. Just kidding. Seriously, I think you do a disservice to your program if you give up all the info for free. They are a business and depend on the income. While I doubt WW is hurting for money I still find it a bit like stealing to just copy all the info and hand it out to whoever wants it. Is that the program you are following? By the way, besides the name of the program I wouldn't feel that you "owe" her anything. I fell bad for you. I had a really nasty MIL too and it is definitely no fun.

The thing about a lot of these programs. It is not JUST the info, it is going there and the meetings that keep you on track and losing. So you can give her the info but it probably wont do her any good anyway.

I agree with sotypical.
Just tell her exercise and diet. Period. You're under no obligation to tell her or anyone else how you're doing it.
And that is how you lose weight...diet and exercise, so technically you're not lying (if that's an issue for you).

From my experience, a LOT of people ask me how I've lost my weight and can I give them any tips. So I do... healthy eating (NOT less, just healthier) and plenty of exercise, and shortly afterwards I see them eating the most junky foods they can lay their hands on. So, in the long run, they have to be in the right mindset to make this work. You could give your MIL all the information you wanted, but if she was REALLY interested, she would have already found a way to lose the weight herself. She isn't ready - it's as simple as that. You can't help someone who isn't ready.

Sorry, that came out as a bit of a rant, but I am just getting tired of giving family (mother in particular) and people at work information about what I have been doing and then seeing them pay absolutely no attention to it at all. It is all just talk.

I'm glad you have decided on a minimal approach with your MIL. It is then all up to her, which will show how serious she is about it.

Take care,

Zelma

That is very true too Zelma. If she wanted it bad enough, she would be doing it already. Good point

I completely agree. I would just tell her the name of the program and say something like each plan is individual to the person or something like that. And as someone else said, it's stealing if you just hand it over. It's kind of like putting software on two computers. I'm on Sonoma and I will let people look at my book, but I always tell them, if you're going to do it, you need to buy the book for all the recipes and helpful hints.

Stand strong, girl
