Halloween is about a month and a half away, and I plan to be down to about 250 by then. I wanted to get a costume that looks super cute, but I know the store-bought costumes will still not fit me by that time. Any brilliant ideas as to what I can be for Halloween??

I would suggest something where you can wear a long red velvet or black cape with.....maybe with some devil horns or a witch's wig....do face make-up and wear comfortable clothes underneath.

Most shops have things you can rent no matter what your size.......I am not big on halloween....although I usually wear some sort of bunny ears or clown wig and make-up for the kids when they come to the door.....it is so cold here in canada where I live for halloween that my kids have to wear something that will keep them warm.

One of the new girls was telling me about a website torrid.com and there are all kinds of halloween costumes on there and the site is designed for bigger girls. Try that out!

Thanks Tye and Eliz - I looked at the website and they do have some cute outfits, and not just for Halloween!!

I also looked online for ideas of costumes that I could make at home - out of stuff I could buy at the thrift store and save money - and I think that I will be a nerd for Halloween LOL.

I LOVE HALLOWEEN! I know that I am a little old, LOL, but Halloween is my favorite!! I am very crafty, and Halloween has all sorts of crafts that I can make - I drive my hubby crazy this time of year I am afraid that it will be cold here this year, because last night it came dangerously close to freezing here. (Isn't it kind of early for that mess??)

Anyways thanks for the suggestions, I don't know for sure what I will be but I will keep you posted.

I am probably going to go today because I need to get a wig and the devil's stick thingy (the costume doesn't come with those items) If I figure out how, I will take a picture of myself dressed up and post it here. If anyone knows how to do that, please let me know!!
