I've only ever done my own taxes before and I honestly didn't realize this was the case. I'm just glad I figured it out before anything was actually filed. I have an appointment with an accountant next week.

I use turbo tax myself but my tax return isn't that complicated. An accountant was definitely the best way to go, good thinking!
