Talk about Your Screen Name
I've been thinking lately how my screen name is actually the complete opposite of me! lol I think I did it on purpose to be someone I'm not, a reinvention of self if you will. I guess like weight loss. But I'm actually a tom boy through and through!
What about you? What does you screen name mean? Why did you pick it? |
Had Enough......need I say more?

|
I'm a baker/pastry chef and was 23 when I created the account last year :D
No weightloss reason...Haha |
mine's a very boring reason, and has NOTHING to do with popcorn.
my initials are jfp |
I lurk a lot, or used to. The number means nothing.
|
Mine stands for a Work At Home Mom with 5 kids;)
|
I thought I was plain and simply a chubby girl. I have reached a goal where I no longer think so, can we change our names if so how?

Mines because of the wee panda for foxes biscuits the sugary is just to make it slightly more unique so I don't have to keep retyping usernames haha. mines quite uninteresting really but I enjoy the idea of knowing why folk picked their names haha
|
Great thread... I too often wonder how people picked their user names.
When I was thinking about a new one, my friend actually suggested it... because I live in Seattle and I LOVE the rain. So she said "You HAVE to be Misti"!! So I took "Misti in Seattle." |
Diesel because I love diesel trucks and its a hobby of my husband and I's. Ember because I was born in December and its just a cut off the end. :)
|
Because it's a snowy winter here and I wanted to be reminded of the sunny weather I love. I was born in 86'.
|
Ladyfyre - because I used to play with fire (torchwork) and I was a firefighter.
|
I am a giant video game nerd, and thus my screen name is a result of that.
I wanted to show I was a Sonic fan without being SonicFan8763 or something boring like that, so I came up with this screen name: sontaikle: Son, from Sonic tai, from Tails kle, from Knuckles |
Well...my name's Aparna...appy is what my friends call me. At times I think I am hyper :dizzy: whereas my friends find me bubbly...so the indirect reference to fizz (bubble)
And also, because i love the drink "Appy fizz" |
I picked mine as hopefully a montra for me to live by and remember to think about eating correctly as a lifestyle not just a short-term diet.
|
I am Catherine. We are like a dime a dozen as "Cathy's." I go by "Cat" in RL to help with that but even so... lots of us around. Cathy's, Cat's, Kate's, Katie's, etc.
I was feeling catastrophic about something that day so chose "Astrophe" rhymes with "catastrophe." My husband asked me why I didn't pick "Alog" (catalog) or "erpillar" (caterpillar) and I laughed and told him I did not feel like a catalog or a caterpillar that day. I don't remember the catastrophe thing but the handle STUCK. Ha. A. :) |
Mine is simple..I love wine..lol :)
|
I'm boring. Name and birthdate.
|
I've been a SAHW for a few years now and enjoy cooking. Seems like all I do all day long is wash dishes...hence, PotScrubber. :)
|
Namaste because I love yoga and Hinduism. :) September is my birth month (9) and I was born in 84 (84).
|
Name is self evident, though I may be missing an X...or two... :s:
|
I chose Skellig as a username many years ago because I love Ireland. There are these 2 little rocky islands off the coast of County Kerry called the Skellig Islands. The larger one (skellig michael) was used by a monastery a long time ago. Then my favourite Canadian songstress (Loreena McKennitt) penned a song called Skellig and the lyrics were so beautiful I fell even more in love with the island. I am a Christian and the meaning of Skellig at the time really resonated with me...though I've forgotten the etymology of it at the moment.
19 is my favourite number, it's my husband's favourite number, and it was my grandpa's favourite number. :) |
My name is Machelle, whenever my significant other calls me he yells " Hey M" come here, etc... hence the name "hayem"
|
Well, my name starts with an M, but I added the E for coolness! haha.... And I love coconuts, especially the smell.
|
Lilly is my name and 19 was how old I was when I first joined this forum...dropped some pounds, put them back on again, dropped and put them back on again. Reached 187lbs (highest weight) by 21 and got serious about weight loss at 22...and never looked back :)
|
Syckgirlsfv is because of an old song by my very favorite band, Social Distortion. The name of the song is Sickboys, and they've always played it at every concert I've ever been to of theirs (which was maybe 3 to 4 times a year for about 8 years).
I changed up the spelling of sick to syck, and SFV is for San Fernando Valley (where I live in So. Cal, which is a part of Los Angeles County) |
Mine's just part of my real name.

Mine is my last dog's name, Bella & my daughters first dog's name, Mack
Bellamack |
Mine is less about the chicks in "3FC" and more about me (a Chickie) having chickens (Chicks).
ChickieChicks! |
What do you do when you want to lose weight? You turn over a ......... New leaf
|
When I had decided I needed a support group to help me loose this weight again. I said to myself, "It's time to try again." Right then my hubby said something. So I added the Mrs. to it. Not very original. But I really couldn't think of anything....
|
These are great. I'm in awe of people who can come up with cool screen names, since I have no imagination. Mine is my name and the last 4 digits of my phone number. I use this for almost everything.
|
This is such an interesting thread!
I'm lunarsongbird, because my maiden name was quite celestial and my new married name is a type of songbird= lunarsongbird. I think it's quite clever. Haha. |
I was looking in the mirror, at my highest weight, wishing to be smaller. Hence, "I See You Wishing".
|
Great thread!
My name is a spin off of my real name/nickname that my mom calls me. I wanted to do "Krissy Missy" but that name was unavailable. |
*ahem*
Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe. "The Jabberwock" -- From Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland I'm a literature buff. :) |
Not a fan
My little cousin watches that show and then when she can't get the results that they do on TV she gets discouraged and gives up. I think its a bad example for teens that are just starting to understand how the body and healthy eating work.
