Question Favorite Vacation Spot

One of my main motivators to lose weight was to wear a bikini and go on vacation. Mission accomplished.

So let's hear it..where is your favorite (warm) vacation destination? I really want to go to Turks & Caicos Island for my weightloss reward but I want to hear other options/opinions as well.

Man, I'd love to go to Hawaii too.

Discuss...

I'm Italian so I will get there someday. Only problem I have with Europe is I would need 2 weeks off work to really soak it all in and my boss would never go for that. Someday though!

Love Costa Rica!!!

ETA: Just saw you are on the East Coast, so Costa Rica would be a longer flight. Maybe Jamaica or the Dominican Republic (lovely) would be a better option.

Langkawi, Malaysia. The Tanjung Rhu Resort. All inclusive, beach, fresh water pool, salt water pool, kayaking, scuba diving, five restaurants, library. Went for a whole week with friends and it was so relaxing.

I highly suggest cruising as a vacation. I have been on 2 - the first we stopped in Mexico, Jamaica and Cayman Islands and the second we did Panama, Colombia, Costa Rica and the Cayman Islands again. They were wonderful vacations! So much to do on the ship and you get a "sampler" of a few different countries.

Some of the things I have done on my cruises are helmet diving (where you walk on the bottom of the ocean), hiking up a waterfall and spending time at a sloth sanctuary.

However, now that I am in the UK I really want to check out Europe! My short list is Paris, Edinburgh and Dublin but I would also like to visit Amsterdam and some other places as well.

I like Nevis better than the Turks and Caicos... but for quick getaways I love Bermuda because it's only a 2 hour flight for me, but it's not that warm in the dead of winter... although it's a lot warmer than NYC that's for sure... Fla is tried and true... SoBe can be a lot fun in season... and I think PR and now the DR have some underrated places as well...

Enjoy!

Nevis is really beautiful, sort of off the beaten path and not really touristy, so you can just relax if that's what you're looking for... But it's also close to St. Kitts which is also really nice too...

Bermuda is gorgeous... It holds a special place in my heart because I've been going there since I was a little kid... use to go with Mom and brother when my Dad was too busy working to get away...

My Mom and Dad would go on their own to get away from me and my brother as well... And now I understand why...

Enjoy!

I just came back from a Hawaii cruise. I've been on about half a dozen cruises and love them. Hawaii was amazing. Just gorgeous everywhere we went. This particular cruise had no "at sea" days so it was like a floating hotel - you just wake up in a different port most days - there were a couple of overnights in the same port too. We got to see at least 3 different islands and it was a lot less expensive than flying from island to island and paying for hotels and food.

I have been to Spain twice and love it. Other than that, New York City was out of this world.
