Default Overweight vs. thin body scan

Here is an image of a 250lb person vs. a 120lb person body scan. The image is worth taking a look at, imo! Very interesting!

Mods, I wasn't sure where to post this. If there is a more appropriate thread, please feel free to re-locate.

Is this real?
I feel like I can actually see the pressure on the joints of the 250lb one. Especially the ankles. Don't know if that's a correct observation.

I think the image originally came from this article, which elaborates more on the health consequences for the higher weight woman:

What's really frightening is the fat surrounding all the organs, yikes!

Thank you for posting the source!

Yeah, it is scary to see the impact on the joints and the organs, isn't it! I'm also amazed by how thin the obese body really is and how it can emerge once the fat melts away. Mind-blowing!

I have never gotten to that size before, but that's actually kind of frightening.

It really shows the issues of obesity beyond a superficial level ("fat people are gross").

It makes me wonder...with the fat that surrounding organs..Does anyone think maybe when they lose weight and there not losing inches on the outside.. that you could be losing fat on the inside?? Just a thought.

That is exactly what happens! And it's a VERY good thing! My liver went from severely fatty to slightly fatty in a few months and my clothing size didnt change all that much. My liver and other organs are surely thanking me. I had my liver checked with a similar scan.
