Wow -- I turn away for a day to play on my day off and here's everyone at work!

WTG!

I'm still dreading child's room. It's the one and only thing on the hit list today. Yeeerrrrgh.

You know what? I usually waste a lot of time doing wipedowns (I will be doing those regularly for countertops or things that get frequently dirty). But the other things, since I want to do a big clean-I'll just save it for once a week/biweekly.
Ideally Sunday mornings, along with laundry
Regular, nondaily cleans
1.)Big bathroom clean up
2.)Floors
3.)Pots/Pans
4.)Fridge
5.)Sheets/blankets

I agree. Kitchen and bathroom get daily but the rest get once a week/2 weeks.

I use let's clean up.

http://www.lets-clean-up.com/

I have things that are "dailys" like basic kitchen wipe down. But other things are once a week. Monday is my big day because with the fam bopping around thru here on the weekend the house REALLY needs a reboot. Esp the floors with kiddie shenanigans.

But there's also some things that are spread further apart to monthly or 6 mos or 12 mos or whatever. Like AC filter, check smoke alarm batteries, etc. Those aren't dailies.

Thank you!! I'll check it out. I fluctuate between hating cleaning...and hating the nastiness from not cleaning LOL

WTG, you guys!

Mine was light today -- just mop the floors again that need it like the high traffic kitchen and LR. Life with kiddie capers -- whee!

It's heavier tomorrow with the rest of the weeklies but not as rough as mondays are.

Oh I also managed to clean my stairs in the hallway!
I got all my dishes done, and cleaned the counter top and the top of the stove. (the kitchen table and floor still needs to be done...)

Todays goal: The bedroom!

Clear out my room and closest of ALL the things I do not wear!
Also finish off the rest of my laundry.
I should probably buy a dresser so it's not so messy. lol

I'm going to hire a house cleaning service to do an initial cleaning. I feel sorta guilty about spending the money but I really want a deep cleansing.
Well at least I don't spend going out? lol.

MiZTaCCen: Yay! How are you liking the spiffy bedroom?

AlyN: Big list! You can do it!

pixelllate: Why feel bad about that? I've done it before. Same as calling the AC guy or plumber -- sometimes the house just needs it!

pluckypear: Banging it out -- wtg!

MY CHECK IN:

Nice low key weekend even though struggling with PMS headache.

Spring break, so not school. Yay. But battling bigger mess with munchkin around... and today's the biggest cleaning day over here.

DONE:
  • launch DH to work
  • wash quilt, dry quilt
  • wash clothes
  • eat breakfast
  • dry clothes, wash bath towels
  • break to play with kid
  • dry towels
  • wash dishtowels/cleaning cloths
  • make bed, dust bedroom, pick up trash
  • vac bedroom, hallway, bathroom floors
  • mop bedroom, hallway, bathroom floors
  • clean mirror, sink, toilet in bathroom

Now I'm on break again for lunch. Kid's been helping where she can. Yay her!

MiZTaCCen: Life happens -- you can back to it.

I'm running out of steam. I think I'm done other than making dinner and folding clean clothes when it's TV time tonight. Tiiiiiired.
  • Put away dishes
  • load up dishwasher
  • Decluttered foyer table
  • shredded old bills
  • vac foyer
  • played with kid
