I am currently reading a little-known book by Daniel Defoe:
A JOURNAL OF THE PLAGUE YEAR
It was written in the early 1700's. He is a very famous oldtime author who survived the Black Plague. He also wrote
SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON.
A JOURNAL OF THE PLAGUE YEAR is also in the internet for everyone to read:

On another note: There will be a new movie
CONTAGION coming out in early September starring Matt Damon, Kate Winslet and Jude Law. WOW!
This thriller deals with a new upcoming plague that
might hit sometime in the next 50 years...
I am going to go see this one for sure.
The Trailer:

BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO HUNGER AND THIRST,
FOR THEY ARE STICKING TO THEIR DIETS.
