We met for coffee and are already planning on Sushi for lunch some time soon! We did not touch on the subject of her husband's business woes, but it was clear to me she has no idea what snowmobiling means to this community. Since I live to snowmo in winter, I'm sure just talking with me and hearing my passion for it, she'll become enlightened without me even trying. She's a totally sweet person and I'm not worried about the Uh-oh.

@brown - yes, he owns the property. Much of the trails and important links to trails go through private lands. For here, it's kind of a bonus to have land with trail access. Some places are land-locked between no-snowmo roads and while these people are granted a "pass" by law inforcement, they get stopped every time. A person who is using illegal roads to access trails (i.e. they don't live anywhere near where they are stopped) get a ticket.

@cbmare - there is almost NO chance she'll snowmo with me. She's from southern Cal. I'm a pretty fast rider. If my experienced bf can barely keep up with me, it'd be like zero fun to have her putt putt behind me. That's OK, though. I pretty much only want to ride with him anyway. In more ways than one LOL!

Hmm! That was short, simple and quick! I think I'll have coffee with her and consider having them both over for dinner in the near future! Screw what others in town will think. It's the right thing to do.

Nope, that is definitely my recommendation. Use your judgment but assume the very best of him until he personally proves you otherwise. Many a person has been damaged by ill-informed or snap judgments, and it would be the sweetest blessing for her if you make an effort with her husband, as well, if she is as lonely as she sounds
