I am currently reading Lies My Teacher Told Me by James Loewen. I have tried to read this a few times now. I have never made it past Chapter 1. I keep getting distracted and then forget and have to start over though.

I just started Voyager by Diana Gabaldon. I wasn't sure I was going to start it right away, as I just finished the second in the series, but now I'm dying to know what happens next.

Oh yeah, I thought that was a great true crime book.

Oh, I knew that! But I can't remember if I read it or not! I'm terrible! I'm sure I'd read Patron Saint of Liars before, because I knew the whole story line, but I didn't remember the actual writing, you know? I read Autobiography of a Face years ago, and when I heard that Ann Patchett was writing about her, I wanted to read it, but I'm not sure if I ever pulled it off.

I'm reading The Time Travelers Wife right now. Another one I've been meaning to read for a long time. It's fabulous so far.

I hadn't realized the latest Jean Auel book was out. Looks like it got pretty scathing reviews. Yikes! I'll read it anyway

Eggsecutive Orders by Julie Hyzy (with Easter this w/e, what else?)

cheerbear 22: I've read Loewen's Lies Across America, I think that's a very interesting book (about how the narratives told at many monuments and historic places are very biased or outright wrong: i.e., at the home of Helen Keller they try to make it look like she was a Southern belle positively reeking of magnolias, they display the Confederate flag and all, when in fact her politics were VERY left-wing). Should read again

zoodoo - Yes, the reviews are terrible, but I can't not read it, ya know? I'm only on page 70/714, so I can't tell yet if they were right or not.

It's been a page turner so far. About 220 pages in.
