Ok, so I read 6-8 chapters of Lor Mandela and gave up on. Means two things: I don't like scifi much and little things bug me (seriously, violet and magenta are nowhere close to being the same color.

So instead I'm reading The Scent of Rain and Lightning: A Novel which after just two chapters is quite good.

so many good ideas here. I'm halfway thru THe Cruellest Miles - about the serum race in Alaska - wow, that was heartbreaking & if I lived in a cold climate I would love to have a huskie, but what to read next?
I've been wanting to start reading the Stieg books, but there are hard to come by at the Library, Ihave the Shack - but I've heard it can be a bit depressing...

Well, I'm on "vacation" in my hometown, I came up to visit my Mom who was in the hospital and she took a turn for the worse and we ended up moving her to hospice. Now we sit around and wait....And I read. A lot. Since arriving, I've read the Hunger Games triolgy, The Scent of Rain and Lightning, Columbine (wow, very good book), and am now on Love You More which is turning out to be a good read, too. Basically I've read almost a book a day!

I just finished reading "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen - fabulous!!!!!
There's a movie coming out of it soon... not loving how it looks by the trailers... looks like they changed a lot!

What an awesome book! I read it a couple years ago but may reread it before seeing the movie.

I just finished True Grit - loved it. Can't wait to see the movie.

I just finished up Replay,by Ken Grimwood. My husband had been trying to get me to read the book for a while now,and I only picked it up by chance,so I'd have something to do while working.I'm glad I picked it up.

At last finished Wicked! (Jilly Cooper, not the one about the Oz witches): at 4 chapters a night it took me about a month to read. Now starting Wanna Get Lucky? by Deborah Coonts. On deck (haven't made up my mind which to tackle first), The Battered Body and Black Beans and Vice by J.B. Stanley (Supper Club series), and Eggsecutive Orders by Julie Hyzy (White House Chef series)

I just started reading Lover Unleashed by J.R. Ward. It's the 9th book in the series, and even though I have read some not so stellar reviews about it, I've loved the series thus far.

I loved that book so much! I checked out of the library, but now I want my own copy. I've only seen one trailer, but couldn't judge much from that.
Next up for me: A Song for Nagasaki
