I'm still trying to finish Richard Grant's "Views from the Oldest House." Whenever I think of giving up on that book, something happens to get me hooked again. I'm going to start reading Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series after this.

I'm currently reading "Vanishing Acts" by Jodi Picoult. It's the last book of hers that I haven't read. I just finished her newest a couple days ago - it was so good :)

and I LOVE Big Boned!! Meg Cabot is my favorite author!!!

Dogs and Demons and Snow Crash, at the moment. Cryptonomicon, Neuromancer and Tokyo Vice are on the list for later this month.

I have just finished A Discovery of Witches, because it got such great reviews in every magazine I've picked up for the last two months. I was kind of let down. It started out great and I thought hey, this is something I could really enjoy! But then it just never went anywhere.

I read Queen of the Turtle Derby by Julia Reed earlier this month. It's short essay about Southern Living.

I'm reading Cat's Cradle by Vonnegut right now.

finished Wise Man's Fear and i'm feeling that end of a good book depression. it was so good. sadness.

on to another giant fantasy themed book- the third in the Shadowfell series by Tad Williams, the first two were excellent, though nothing compares to Name of the Wind and Wise Man's Fear.

Can anyone simply tell me how they type what they want to say in link? So I can say the name of the book and the link will take you to that page.

For example, you have another tab open on your browser and you're at Amazon. Hightlight and copy the URL from Amazon. Go back to 3FC and click on the link button, paste the URL. Hit ok or enter or whatever. At that point the URL will post and part of it will be highlighted--just type whatever you want and the link itself will be whatever it is you typed rather than looking a the actual URL.

I'm on book 3 of the Hunger Games Trilogy. Fun books--I read #2 in one day. But then I'm on vacation (sort of) and have a lot of time on my hands.

Next up--there's this person who I guess I went to High School with (she doesn't post her full name on FB, but most of her friends are HS friends...) anyway, she wrote a sci fi book and I thought I'd give it a try. It's called Lor Mandela. Anyone heard of it or read it?

I've been reading J.D. Robb's "In Death" series. Tightly woven murder mysteries wrapped around a memorable set of characters who develop further over the series. I think there are over 40 books in the series - I'm about 1/2 way thru them. I take a break from them every other book. Just finished "Goodnight Tweetheart" - a funny and sweet romance...if you're looking for something to celebrate spring!

Oh the sequel is out now?! I LOVE The Name of the Wind. It is by far one of my favorite stories I've ever read. The author has a beautiful and intricate writing style that I admire so very much. (SPOILER) The end of the chapter where his parents were killed really wrenched my heart. The way the author wrote it was very profound. I'll have to get the Nook out and see if I can get the sequel on it. So excited!!!

I'm still (yes I know, I've been slow reading this) working my way through Dragonfly in Amber. And could you please not post spoilers to books in this thread. Yes I realize that you said spoiler, but in such a condensed setting it's impossible to miss the spoiler. Sorry, it's a real pet peeve of mine. I've had so many books and movies ruined by people telling me an important part.
