Whatcha Reading March 2011?
Yeah! March is finally here!! Another month of reading great books, please share with us what you are reading.
I just started Meg Cabot's "Big Boned" |
Um ... April??
Wicked! by Jilly Cooper (quite fat book, at the pace I take it should take me the better part of 2 weeks to read) |
Lily dale by Wicker I'm from the area where Lily Dale is located so it seemed interesting. Also Growing up Green, I can't remember who it's by and Hard Times by Charles Dickens. I keep books in various places so I don't have to haul them around but am never without something to read. lol

Still plugging away at Dragonfly in Amber, and I have The Hunger Games set aside as my next read.

I finally found a new series that I am really enjoying: in fact I am almost obsessed! The Ian Rutledge series by Charles Todd (actually a mother/son writing team) . They are police procedurals that take place after WWI. The main character is from Scotland Yard and is badly shell shocked and gradually pulling his life and sanity back together as he works to solve his case. The attraction for me is the historical period and the likeability of the characters especially Rutledge but also his sister. The stories are very complex, maybe too complex but I like that too because I need to concentrate on them to get the whole picture.

a night to remember by walter lord.
it's purported as the most accurate account of the night the titanic sunk. |

Currently I am between books. I just finished reading the Bone Island trilogy by Heather Grahm.

I just finished Dewey by Vicki Myron. It was a good tale especially to a cat lover like me.
Don't know what is next yet. |
French Pressed - Cleo Coyle
I am now obsessed with this "coffehouse mystery" series and have finished 5 of the books in the last few weeks. It's basically about a coffee house manager who solves murders. Very well written NYC cozy mystery books. Highly recommend. Also Don't Pee on my leg and Tell me it's Raining-Judge Judy randomly found this at the library. I'm enjoying it. It's an insightful look at the family court problems of the US. Also offers pratical solutions. Plus its easy to read and offers Judy's straight talk and humor. |
