Default Have you watched Storage Unit Wars?

I find it interesting. I would love to go to one just to see what the people bought.

My friend went to an auction at Bekins or some such place many years ago. She spent about $5 for a big ole box. Unfortunately, there were many albums in there. Someone's family photos are lost forever. Her husband almost had another heart attack from laughing so hard. The rest of the box was Elvis on velvet.

My MIL's coworker does this- makes a FORTUNE. One time he paid like $2000 for a unit that was full of mannequins. I think he sold them for around $500 each to a department store- there were at least 2 dozen mannequins in the unit btw if that gives you an idea of what he made.

I love American Pickers but I just cant watch the storage wars thing without wondering what happenned to the owner of the unit that caused them to lose it. My Dad passed away and luckily I was able to track down his unit...nothing in it that would have sold for any money but there were pictures and scrapbooks and letters of my grandmothers than were priceless to me. They would have been trash to anyone else.

I've seen this a few times. Always interesting to see what they end up with.

I love "American Pickers".
