This is my vow. Work is so tense right now and I am the supervisor, so I feel like it is my fault. Logic says otherwise, believe me, I have pondered this a lot and I have coached and reassured and offered guidance... - but I still feel very stressed. I think I will be a more effective supervisor if I stop fussing and get away at least electronically for the 3 days.

Good idea if something goes seriously wrong they'll call you. You gotta take a break from the stress every once in awhile.

Ugh I should totally follow in your footsteps. One part of my three-day weekend already went to a client (they don't have Monday off, therefore I have a 2 hour meeting with them on Monday because it was the only time that I had available in such a large block).

I am one of 2 people in my medium size city who does the job I do. Believe me burn out is a very very very serious problem. Having that 3 day break will do wonders and providing non of my consumers go into the emergency room I intend to enjoy the next 2 non working days to the fullist. I hope you do too!!

Thanks for the advice and back up. I went 2 days but did check it this morning. Fortunately all is well (for the most part) and I can enjoy today more fully. Back to the salt mine tomorrow

ugh i am guilty guilty guilty of this too. i can't not do it, it's a compulsion. i should make it a priority NOT to do it next weekend and see how it goes.

It is a good thing to give yourself a a break.

Our office email used to be a hoot to check. Small office. 3 people plus the boss's wife had access. She used it to talk to her boyfriend!
