Well I did get married and he turned out to be a real violent rotter! Eventually left me for a woman half his age who dominated him quite a bit so I had the last laugh!
Xmas brings back such bad memmories of him coming home drunk and we all having to tiptoe round so not to upset him. Usually go over to my daughters in Ireland over the holidays but with the weather problems was unable to go and was dreading the Xmas day etc. and got quite depressed. However, all done with for another year, thankgoodness.
I, too, was so desperate to get married again as having had a very bad younger life I just felt I deserved some proper happiness but it was not to be. I have come to terms with it now and enjoy my life despite now being disabled and having quite a painful back problem.
As for the xmas celebrations I usually spend a fair bit on my sister and her husband and my brother and his wife but the tat that they give to me I wouldn't give to a stranger! Have decided this year is the last time and will cry off the present giving from now on.
Will soon be the start of the new year and I would like to wish everyone a happy and peaceful one!
