Yes, this is how I feel too. My DH knows about it and annoyingly reads over my shoulder at times, but he doesn't visit here at all. Thank goodness! LOL! I'm well aware that I say more than I should here.

I was thinking about this today, actually. I'd love to write Dr. Oz and share the "secrets of my success". But one of my "secrets" is this place, and goodness, I wouldn't want everyone I know looking me up here. And with pictures posted, it wouldn't be all that difficult to figure me out.

Hubby definitely knows and specifically about the little group of friends I have made on the Back in Kindergarten thread--cards have been sent, baby shower gifts because we live so far apart and I get emails and they are friends on my facebook. They have been there encouraging and supporting me through my parents battle with cancer and deaths these last two years..

I haven't been doing well with losing but I never want to lose their encouragement!!

When I was doing well with the weight loss and people asked I sent emails with the link to several of them. I don't think any of them started posting, one friend was a lurker for awhile..as someone else said...their loss.

I tell people who are trying to lose weight and when they ask me what's my motivation, I tell them I come on this site just to interacted with other people in the same boat, plus it's fun at times. Most of them just shrug it off, maybe have even checked out the site but I doubt they would sign up to it. Plus most people I know have an excuse as to why they can't lose weight or blah blah blah this and that. I personally don't have an excuse nor do I make them.

I feel the same as saef and Eliana, heck this isn't even my regular on-line name. My husband knows I'm on a "diet" site, and since he's a tech it would be hard to hide from him. But I'm trusting him enough that he won't snoope (he better not!).

I really wanted somewhere that I could be 100% completely open and honest about my weight and depression issues. Besides my husband none of my friends know I'm bi-polar, I haven't even told my family (I have a sister who is worse then me so compared to her growing up I was relatively normal). And I really needed a place to talk about hubby too to be completely honest.

No, I haven't told anyone that I'm on this message board and I plan to keep it that way. I've posted the biggest skeleton in my closest (being sexually molested at the age of 6 by a relative) and, as a coping mechanism, turning to food for comfort (hence the physical and psychological weight issues).

My fiance' knows, but I doubt he'd be check it out because 1) he's ridiculously fit and doesn't need the support and 2) I believes he respects me enough not to.

I told a dear friend of mine who is looking to lose 100+ lbs, although I kept my username completely secret. There's so many members on this forum, that I doubt she'd ever recognize me.
