Default I'm completely...average...

Not that this is a bad thing, but at 5'-5"/5'-6" and a size 8/10 w/ brown hair, bluish eyes, and size 8.5 shoe I'm pretty much as average as it gets. I excel in many other ways, at least I think so

I'm not sure why I'm bringing this up or what it really matters, but this just occured to me today for some reason.

I remember always wanting to be *just average*. I didn't need to be skinny, skinny (oy, let's not go there ) I just wanted to be average - normal - not stand out in the crowd. Regular.

Anyway there is nothing average with what you've accomplished. I think it's pretty extraordinary and yes, ABOVE average.

Nothing average about losing over 120 lbs.

Besides, going by national stats, you're BELOW average size and weight!

Very cool to be average, but judging by your photo... you are hardly average, you are radiant!

Average is fine, just don't get bored. What is your next fitness goal? I often wonder what fitness goals I'll make for myself when I get to the maintenance range.

^right now I'm training for a half marathon in November. I'm not sure what's next after that, maybe some focus on weight training or improving my 10k speed.

Well there ya go...that is HARDLY "average", missy!!

I am right there with you, although my weight loss was half of yours. 5'6", size 10, brown hair, brown eyes, 2 kids, hubby, live in the suburbs, blah, blah, blah. I also noticed that you are striving for 135...ME TOO!! I just haven't been able to vocalize it for real yet.

You, however, are in INCREDIBLE shape and as another person mentioned, are positively radiant!! Your avatar shows that inner glow as well as your outer beauty. I would not classify you as average in any way - you are AWESOME. I guarantee that the people who are around you every day strive to be more like you, and you have likely influenced many for the better (maybe wtihout even knowing it).

So...while you say 'average' isn't a bad thing (and I agree), I simply cannot put you in that category .

Good luck with your training. I am so impressed!!

That sounds wonderful. I am trading in the subscription for my old fitness mag for a women's magazine that focuses more on strength training. I don't wanna be just slim, I want to be strong too.

I agree. There is nothing "average" about your journey.
