Another month, another thread to share with us what you are reading. I haven't chosen my next book yet, but hopefully before the night is over I will have one picked out to share.
Hah!!! Et tu, Brute?
I just finished the entire trilogy - this very morning. Born in Fire, Born in Ice and Born in Shame. I discovered Nora Roberts only recently (though I read a lot of her books written under her pen name J.D. Robb) and I just have to laugh - not that her books are actual literature, I consider them just a notch above Harlequins, but it's very funny how all her heroines have mind-blowing earth-shattering sex (the Earth ALWAYS moves, even if it's a virgin having sex for the very first time LOL) and the men always know the moment the moment they lay the eyes on the woman for the very first time that she is the one, she is the one they are going to marry and have children with. Rather amusing, this Nora Roberts! hahaha
I'm slowly working on "Elantris" by Brandon Sanderson- the author who is finishing off Jordan's Wheel of Time series. it's not that it isn't good... it's just that i'm not really into it I guess.
So I started reading another book. It's more a womens spirituality kind of read it's called "Goddess to the Core" it's by Sierra Bender and so far I'm enjoying it- though it feels a bit "text booky"
Up Next will be "Cybelles Secret" by Juliet Marrillier - once I finish it I believe I will have read every book she's written.
Have you tried Ballet Shoes or No Flying In The House? Two of my favorite kids books.
No Flying in the House! Oh man, I loved that book! I never read Ballet Shoes, but Streatfeild also wrote a Skating Shoes; I didn't read that till I was older and pretty well established as a skating buff. Right now I'm on A Skating Life by Dorothy Hamill

I couldn't agree more! I love reading Nora Roberts and J.D. Robb books, real page turners and entertaining. I used to read non-fiction/self-help books many years ago, but I've found reading these so called "suspense" novels much more entertaining.
When I finish the trilogy, which I found at the library (I don't like having to buy books), I'm tempted to start on the Twilight series only because I'm curious what all the hoopla is about. Anyone else reading them?
I just finished reading A is for Alibi before bed last night and I'm going to start The Host by Stephenie Meyer. This will be my first book by her. I'll admit I'm curious about the Twilight Books, but I thought I'd get my feet wet with a stand alone book, it's not as daunting as a series.
